I went to this dealership through the advice of a 3rd party car financing website. They offered me what seemed to be a very attractive loan offer for someone who has a little bit of bruised credit. I a party car financing website. They offered me what seemed to be a very attractive loan offer for someone who has a little bit of bruised credit. I agreed to go to the dealership and get the process started, and after a very promising initial meeting, I was offered a 2007 Suzuki Reno. The sticker was 15,095, but since we were at the end of the model year, they agreed to knock 1500.00 off the price, combining that with 500.00 in military discounts and another 1000.00 down on the car, with a 300.00 trade in value for what I currently drive. In total, 3300.00 was going to be knocked off the price, bringing the total to be financed to 11,795. I was happy, though I should have noticed something was amiss when Carol tried to get me to take the car that very day. I told her I was waiting on the 1000.00 down payment, and that it would take a week to get it, so she agreed to wait until the following week to take delivery. The time came to take delivery, and after providing all the paperwork they asked for up front, and taking into account that "Robin", my contact for the bank I was going to get this loan through, had informed me that the highest interest rate given for this kind of loan through them was 18%, I had figured that I was going to get a very managable payment. I guess I was wrong, because even at 72 months, the monthly payment they offered me was 354.00 a month...354 dollars, on 11,795 financed...is insane, and come to find out after consulting others on the matter, ILLEGAL. They were going to charge me well over 24.99% interest, which in this state is illegal. When I expressed my displeasure with this arrangement, Carol and Mike were very rude and made me feel like this was the best I was ever going to do, and that I would be an idiot not to agree to their terms. I left the dealership and didn't hear anything from anyone for a short while. A couple of weeks later I was contacted at work by someone who claimed to be from Bank Of America, and he introduced himself as Tom McDonald. He told me that he could help me with an auto loan and that the only thing I'd need to do was call this other bank and have them close the open offer of financing because it was still showing as a current open loan. I told him I would do just that and would call him after the long Labor Day weekend. That's just what I did, I wrote "Robin", asked that the loan be closed, and called "Tom" back, with the 800 number he had given me. What do you think I got when the line picked up? "Consumers Suzuki, this is Jenny, how can I help you?" These people are so hard up for a sale, they would pose as members of reputable banks just to get you in the showroom. Don't do business with these people. They will end up making your current financial situation all that much worse. More
This dealership is terrible. I would never recommend anyone goes there. I was told I would be buying a 2005 Chevy Equinox for $13,000 and it would have new tires and be cleaned out when I went to get it anyone goes there. I was told I would be buying a 2005 Chevy Equinox for $13,000 and it would have new tires and be cleaned out when I went to get it. We worked out payments of $350 a month. Before leaving the day I was supposed to buy the car, I called (I live some distance away) and spoke to Mike. (Carol was our sales rep, but she had the day off) He said they would never put new tires on a car before a sale. He also said anyone that thought that they could get a 4WD for under $400 is out of their mind. I explained that this is what Carol had told us. He treated us like idiots. He lost a sale. I asked for his manager, and he said he was the manager. On paperwork we had received it said the manager was someone named Tom McDonald. I asked for Tom and he told me he had no idea who that was. I called about an hour later and they said Tom was at lunch. On Monday, Carol called to ask what had happened. I told her the entire story and again asked who Tom was - she explained he worked for the bank in Texas. I called today (Wednesday) and asked for Tom - GUESS HE WAS BACK FROM TEXAS BECAUSE HE WAS THERE! Tom was worse than Mike. Realizing they lost the sale, he was as rude as can be. Telling me that they never said the payment would be under $350. I explained that I even had an answering machine message from Carol. Tom refused any contact information for the owner - but did tell us his name is John Bender. A lot of help that does. These people are all liars. More
