Chicanery Apothecarist Just a few hours ago, while attempting to merge onto Lincoln Dr from City Ave, US Rt 1, the steering wheel locked and power steering was no more. I an Just a few hours ago, while attempting to merge onto Lincoln Dr from City Ave, US Rt 1, the steering wheel locked and power steering was no more. I and countless others were almost on your thread and evening news, headlines reading "....clinging to life", "...fishing people out of the Schuylkill River" and "....presumed dead". I purchased a 2011 BMW X5 02/21/2018 from Bridge Auto Group of Berlin; the salesperson was Carlo Spaccarotelli. The vehicle was said to be "in good condition". When we first saw the vehicle, the salesperson said it only needed a new windshield and something needed to be done to get it started - maybe a starter or something else. Carlo Spaccarotelli said over and over again "it's a good car. I wouldn't sell it if it wasn't", "I wouldn't sell you this car if something was wrong with it". "We'll check it out and fix anything that's wrong with it before you buy it". Since I bought the vehicle, I have had to seek repairs multiple times. By the time I made the first car payment in March, 2018, the vehicle had already been in the shop three times, with a repair estimate of +$7800.00. While driving on US Rt I95, the engine overheated, causing the vehicle to malfunction. The vehicle's engine has turned off twice were in operation, almost causing a collision with other vehicles and pedestrians - once on busy US Rt 1. The vehicle leaks and smells of oil even after multiple trips to the repair shop recommended by the warranty company, which was recommended by Bridge Auto Group. During the most recent incident where the vehicle shut off while I was driving, I took it to the nearest auto shop and I was told that the vehicle appears to have been in a major collision and may have been totaled. They believe the title is a salvage title. Bridge Auto Group did not disclose a vehicle collation and did not disclose the possibility of salvage car title. Carlo Spaccarotelli and Bridge Auto Group assured me that the vehicle was in good condition. Emails and telephone calls made to Bridge Auto Group, Carlo Spaccarotelli and the Manager of Bridge Auto Group, and a certified packet delivered detailing what's happening with the vehicle, have all been ignored. "Bring it back. We'll fix it for you" was there promise of service to me when I supplied the down payment, committed to the financing and signed the papers. I was referred to Bridge Auto Group and Carlo Spaccarotelli by a customer that had just purchased a vehicle there. Turns out, that vehicle is probably salvaged too. As is the saying, hindsight is 20/20. The jokes about not trusting a used car salesperson are proving to be true. Other reviews of Bridge Auto Group and Carlo Spaccarotelli may be positive, and perhaps honest from real customers. My account is being ignored, making my experience with Bridge Auto Group and Carlo Spaccarotelli all the worse. Comfortable, no pressure and friendly Looking for a new "used" car is usually not the most pleasant experience in the world, and when I totaled my old Explorer I knew I would probably be i Looking for a new "used" car is usually not the most pleasant experience in the world, and when I totaled my old Explorer I knew I would probably be in for a not so nice search for another Explorer that I could afford and would also be in good condition for the money. ...well, it did not take long for me to track down Bridge Auto Berlin and was amazed at the inventory they had to fit my finances and my taste. They have a great website, easy to use, and the photos are comprehensive. There were 5 Explorers waiting for me and it only took one trip from Ocean City NJ (about 40 min) to pick the right one with the help of Carlo!....and it is a beauty! One more trip back to settle the deal and off I went! Both my husband and myself are absolutely delighted with the service and professional yet friendly atmosphere at Bridge Auto and we have already recommended them and our fabulous 5 star salesman Carlo to two friends!
