I was in the market for a mid-size SUV and one of my choices was a Ford Explorer. I checked their inventory online and called the to inquire if it was still in stock and that I wanted to come by. I pulled up to the dealership and met the salesperson I had spoken with. He took the liberty of pulling the vehicle I called about to the front, right away offered a test drive and then gave a brief over-view of the vehicle. Landon was very laid back and never put pressure on me to commit to the vehicle. After my questions were answered (very well and thorough by the way) I expressed interest in the vehicle but wasn't ready for my final decision. The next day I decided to return to "run the numbers" for the vehicle. I met Pete who was the finance manager and was very open and no nonsense. I was never asked to leave a deposit or for any money to hold the vehicle while I made my decision. I did not have to create any bill of sale or any such thing for the finance manager to work with me. This is completely opposite to every single experience I've had purchasing vehicles. Every other dealership were worried about money up front and creating a bill of sale before they would even entertain me obtaining my actual costs of the vehicle. On the third day, I showed up and said I was ready and got my vehicle the same day (earlier than promised too). Another Ford dealer only cared on my first visit and when I had returned seemed to not want to be bothered. Kudos to Brewster Ford, they held the vehicle from my initial interest until I made my decision. Thank you Landon and Pete for giving me the time I needed as well as comfort throughout my process. I am very disappointed with my experience at Brewster Ford. I truly thought I found a dealership that was honest & I could continue to use for years. I drove from Long Island New York up there just to be let down. I spoke with Gary over the phone and told him my credit wasn't the best & all the things to expect. He assured me to come down and everything would be fine. When I got there he had the car in the front and immediately let us test drive it. We fell in love with it & we couldn't wait to have it. After all paperwork he told us that we got denied by the TWO banks they use..which I told him would happen. The finance guy told us one bank would approve us but we had to wait till Monday. We walked out disappointed but understood there wasn't much they could do. We thought we would still have our car because the bank he told us about would approve. Monday came around & I didn't hear anything. Tuesday came nothing. I didn't want to seem pushy buy on Wednesday called to see what's going on. Gary wouldn't get on the phone & never returned my calls. I checked the website & they were selling the car for 6,000 more then the price we were getting it for. I think it was horrible how I waisted 6 hours there & in the end he didn't even put out the call promised. He actually didn't even say bye! Nicest guy in the world but he's clearly just trying to sell. They really did not try at all to get us approved because they probably got the offer for more. Isn't if first come, first serve?. Sad...I was going to recommend him to many people. You'll love it there UNTIL they see any delay & leave you out to dry! More

I have had a few negative interactions with other dealers, but I believe I stumbled upon a truly honest car salesman. Paul was great, he made the experience painless and he would be an asset to any sales team.
