It does not take a village to support you when you shop for a car. It does not take an army to protect you from lies "your car you are coming to test drive just got sold", 20 minutes before you reached t for a car. Or a different dealership's sales rep shoved the paperwork for a used 2024 Toyota Corrola Cross XLE (5 MILES ON BOARD) IN MY FACE and coerced me to buy it for more than its NEW version would cost! I WALKED OUT. I finally got Jerry's name from a friend whose entire family bought cars only from Jerry. I called Jerry, and I left a voicemail. He was off that day, but he returned my call the next day. Jerry had the car I needed, and I went to see the car and buy it. I had some trouble securing the finances, but Jerry gave me the option to put a downpayment to hold the car. I went to the bank the next day (Jerry was off), and I got the finances. I went to the dealership the following day, and I purchased the car. Simple. I called my friend, and I thanked her for saving me hours of driving from a dealership to another hoping one would have the car they advertised they did. Jerry was, and remains, the greatest, the most kind, and the nicest person to buy a car from. More

I was about 200 miles out of state and my Highlander would not start. An alarming message came on the dash stating low brake pressure, stop immediately. I did not know if there was a problem with the would not start. An alarming message came on the dash stating low brake pressure, stop immediately. I did not know if there was a problem with the brakes or the battery or both. There were no Toyota dealers for about 30 miles so I called Bredeman where the car was purchased and had always been serviced. The service technician just blew me off and would not tell me if the car was safe to drive on the toll road which has a 70 mile/hour speed limit. He told me to have the car towed to the dealer, Since this was out of state and 200 miles away, this was not a practical solution, I had purchased a new battery there less than a year before this happened. I got the car jumped and got to an automotive parts store. The battery was dead so I bought a new battery and managed to drive back to Chicago. I took the car to Bredeman to have the battery and car serviced as the new battery died. The service manager told me they would not honor the 2 year warranty because I went else where to buy a new battery. So I agreed to pay $170 to have the battery checked and signed the paperwork. I went to the waiting room and after about 10 minutes the service manager came and called me out and said he decided that he would not service my car. I said I already signed the paperwork agreeing to pay the $170 charge. He repeated that he decided that he would not service my car, just take the keys and leave. So I took the keys and left. When I purchased the car I was bullied into buying a service contract for more than $1000 extra over the purchase price. Since they are refusing to service my car I doubt that this would be honored. Before I purchase a 2017 toyota Tacoma I asked the sales man how much I would need to purchase it. At that time I was not asked if I wanted to put an extended warranty on it so when I got there I already ha man how much I would need to purchase it. And didn't have any money with me to put a extended warranty on it. When I took it for a drive everything sounded and felt fine. Then I barely heard a scraping noise in the front end but just assumed it wasn't anything serious and new brakes were getting broken in. Then the noise starting getting louder within a week time. I took it to my mechanic and he said the clips on the brakes weren't put on correctly and that they were loose and moving all over. We also noticed there was a bar underneath that was lose and not completely tightened down to the frame . We also noticed that the front fog light was busted out . I have called the sales manager and 2 other sales men and the sales manager. When I called about this a week ago I asked if I could take it to a toyota dealership to have it checked out to be repaired instead of coming back there 2.5 hours south from where I'm at. My understanding he said yes. Now when I contacted them again today about it I spoke to the sales manager and he wanted me take a chance of getting into a accident or it getting worse to check it out and fix it not worrying if I got into a accident or anything else going wrong. I will not recommend nobody to purchase a vehicle from you and tell them to not believe everything that the papers say. I assumed and trusted everything that the carmax said and went from there. I will never buy another vehicle from your company again and I will tell everyone that asks me about your company to not trust you. Sincerely, Curtis Rasmussen More
