The professionalism, knowledge and attention to detail was apparent from the moment I received the first email until the time I drove my new Subaru Cross Trek off the lot. It was an effortless transaction and everything was done by the time I arrived at the dealership. Mike , Maria and Matt kept me in the loop right from the start via the numerous phone calls and emails. I have to say that I was apprehensive about driving 3 hours to purchase and pick up a new car. 5 hours wasted On a Tuesday I called Brattleboro Subaru and spoke with Rose. I told her I was planning to come in Thursday and I asked her to run a credit check with the money I had for a down payment to see if it was even going to work so I didn't spend my whole day at the dealership. Rose called me back and told me I was approved and to come in on Thursday to pick out a car. well, FIVE HOURS after being there I was told there was nothing they could do. Not only was a lied to on Tuesday about being approved, but she didn't even check my credit! when I got there at 11am her desk was a mess and she couldn't find anything she was looking for. She was back and forth from her desk, always forgetting something. my mom was unimpressed after only an hour. we were never offered water or coffee or anything. I was offered a magazine to look at while we waited. she didn't even sit with us through the process. Finally after about three hours she asked me to test drive a car. The car had already been sold! she took the sold sign off of the car for me to drive it and when we got back she said she was mistaken and the car was in fact sold. So I had absolutely no right to be in that car and I was appalled when she had me drive it. Every time she came back to her desk I was waiting for news and all he kept saying was almost there, almost there. she never told me what was happening, who they were working with, nothing. so at 4pm, on the fifth hour of me being there, she told me that she had tried everything and I wasn't leaving there with a car. there were no apologies for anything, just an I can't help you. I went to Subaru being told I was approved and left with nothing. I never even met or saw the person she was working with. I immediately left and went to Brattleboro ford and I drove away the next day in a car. THEY actually did everything they could and it certainly paid off. I would not recommend a single person go see Rose unless you want to sit alone at her desk for five hours or learn about her scrap booking. worst experience I have ever had. More

I must have sent close to 100 emails and every time they responded to my questions within minutes. They are very FAST and responsive and when Mike is busy, Amy picks up and replies. These guys are fantastic how well they work together! It's so seamless! I live in the Albany, NY area and quite honestly I was looking for a dealer to compete with my local Subaru dealer. I was not planning to go to VT for a Subaru. After spending time getting to know these guys, I just had to make the trip to Brattleboro, VT. I could not believe the deal they were offering me and the great customer service that I had received. Why would I take that away from them when they did such a great job? The deserved my business. I was quoted almost $1,500-$2,000 less than the "deal" my local dealer. These guys presented me with the best price possible the first time. That really impressed me! After the sale, Mike was really supportive. I had made the silly mistake of losing my lien release document for my trade in. I was allowed to drive the new car home. After spinning my wheels a bit, Mike went ABOVE AND BEYOND and offered to contact my former lender and straighten out the situation. Needless to say, his work paid off. Thanks Mike! You are awesome! No matter how close or how far you may be from Brattleboro Subaru, I promise you that meeting with these guys is worth it! They will give you a great deal, they are very professional and friendly, and they work hard to earn your trust. I plan on going back to them whenever I need to buy another Subaru. To me, it's worth the 2 hour drive to get a deal and to experience customer service like this! No wonder they are #1 in VT! If you're on the fence about dealing with these guys, don't wait! I bought a used car from Brattleboro Subaru over 2 months ago. I have brought the car back for services twice and both times the Brattleboro Subaru Service Center fixed my car free of charge. I bought the car "as is" and they still honored their word of selling a safe and reliable vehicle. The combined bill for both services would have cost well over $2,000. Doug was very friendly and helpful over the phone. The Service Center got me in immediately for service both times and they provided me a shuttle service to and from work. The Service Center team is very friendly and helpful. I have never been more pleased to do business with a car dealership...the integrity of Brattleboro Subaru is amazing! More
We had shopped for quite awhile searching for the perfect Forester. Many dealers and sales people left us with the "used car salesman ick feeling" we did not have that experience at Brattleboro Subaru. We fe Forester. I visited the dealership to check on a used Ford Ranger pickup for my son. The trip over took just over 2.25 hours. I found the truck to be in good shape and felt it would work for us, despite the fact the pickup for my son. The trip over took just over 2.25 hours. I found the truck to be in good shape and felt it would work for us, despite the fact they would not stand behind it after the sale. They accepted the offer I made and before leaving gave them a $1100 deposit. I called the next morning and asked my sales rep if it would be possible to pick up the car today after 2:00PM. He said no problem, and that he would have the truck washed and the paperwork ready to go. Once we paid for the car they would put the paper plate on and we'd be home in no time. My son and I arrived at 2 and our sales rep said he was with another customer, but he would make sure the paperwork was complete and get us right out for the long ride home. After putting the customer he was dealing with in a car to test drive, he disappeared. I went looking for him and after a short time found him with a new customer that just drove into the lot. He again said that they were finishing up the paperwork and he would be right with me. By now we were there for over an hour. This was a cash sale, so I expected, as we had an appointment, I'd be out of there in 20 minutes. The next thing I know I see the salesman driving out of the lot. He again returned and again said he would be right with us. Another 1/2 hour went by and he called us to his desk. Finally, I felt we would be on our way. No such luck. He said there was a problem with the paperwork. But they'll get it fixed in no time. We sat for another 1/2 hour and he again came to us and told us that they don't have a title for the car so they couldn't sell it to us. He asked if he put a dealer plate on it and let us take it home and then send them the plate once they received title on the car. I said that would be acceptable. He left and came back and told me he cant do that. They wanted to give me a loaner car that once the title appeared I could return and then try and buy the car. I told him we are not making that trip again. The salesman said he was trying to get the GM to come up with a solution. This went on for another 1/2 hour. The salesman again asked about us using a dealer plate 2x more and I'd say yes and then he would come back and say that they can't do it. (?) He tried to explain that it sometimes take 7-10 days for the dealership to receive title on cars, but this truck had been on their web page for two weeks. After being there for several hours now with no end in sight, I had had enough. I walked over to the GM's office and told the salesman I wanted my money back and that we were leaving. The salesmen once more said "What if we put a dealer plate on the truck?" The GM said "just give him his money back, someone else will buy the truck". They had the nerve to be upset with me, when they were the ones who screwed up! I had to wait another 1/2 hour before they came up with my cash, but told me they would have to send me a check for my deposit from the day before as it hadn't cleared yet. At no time did they offer to compensate me for my time and expense to drive 5 hours for nothing. I have nothing good to say about the dealership and have no intentions of ever returning. This has got to be a freak experience, but I never received an apology, and they in turn will never earn my business. More

Mike, who is one of their sales people who handles internet marketing, was terrific and gave me a very aggressive quote on the model I was interested in. Many dealers won't do that by phone because they know you may take that quote to other dealers without ever setting foot on their lot. I appreciated their honest approach and visited Brattleboro Subaru the next day. While there, I worked with Mike and with Paul Sucharzewski. They were terrific!! Very friendly, with no high pressure tactics. They were eager to answer all my questions and didn't hesitate to ask questions of me to ensure the Impreza Sport that I was considering was a good fit for what I needed. This may sound overly enthusiastic, but I really had the sense that customer service is the number one priority at Brattleboro Subaru. I think they would be willing to lose a sale if they thought a customer was not making the right purchase. Great dealership and great staff!! More
