I am updating my review of Brandon Ford. (I kept my original review below). Within a couple hours after I posted my original review, sales manager Zoran Krekic called me. He wanted to main (I kept my original review below). Within a couple hours after I posted my original review, sales manager Zoran Krekic called me. He wanted to maintain a positive customer relationship with me, and he said he would be overnighting me a check for the dealer fees I was disputing. I was impressed by his quick response, his positive attitude, and his flexibility. That's a sign of a good manager and a dealership that cares about its customers. Unlike manager Brooksye Hall, who told me everyone has to pay those fees (including his own family members), and who was more than willing to let me walk away from the Maverick I ordered from Ford. If not for Brooksye, I would rate Brandon Ford 5 stars. __________________________________________________________ (Original Review) Car dealerships have a reputation for "hiding" markups on vehicles. KBB defines dealer markup as "profit and a selling price the dealership assigns that is above and beyond the carmaker's MSRP". That's a simple concept. Markups can be obvious like "Dealer Markup" or "Adjusted Market Value". Markups can be less clear such as "Predelivery Service Fees". I ordered a 2023 Maverick from Ford. As we all know, this has to be done through a dealership. I was contacted by Jim Gordon of Brandon Ford. I asked him if there will be any markup over MSRP on my order. He stated in an email that there are no dealer markups on orders from Ford. After 10 months of waiting, my Maverick finally arrived at Brandon Ford. While reviewing the numbers with salesperson Ricardo Liburd, I see "Predelivery Service Fees" of more than $1,300 on the contract. I showed him the email from Jim Gordon stating there are no markups. After discussing with him and sales manager Brooksye Hall, I decided I would purchase the Maverick at the marked up price and handle it after the sale. I am in the process of filing a small claims case against Brandon Ford. ** In my lawsuit, I am not arguing about the ridiculous fees. I am arguing that a representative of Brandon Ford stated that I will pay MSRP without any markups. However, other consumes should be aware that just because it is pre-printed on a contract does NOT mean a fee cannot be removed. Autolist.com says "Predelivery Service Fees" are for preparing a vehicle for leaving the lot - checking the tires and fluids, fueling the car, removing the shipping stickers and protective coverings, and giving the vehicle a quick wash. Does it really cost $1,295 to do that work? Why does Brandon Ford charge a fee for Title/Registration plus ANOTHER fee for "Electronic Registration Filing" plus ANOTHER fee for "Title and Documentary Handling"? More
If I'm going to spend over $70K each for 5 vehicles, I expect a call back - something. Nothing! Nita Diaz - Business Development Manager..... unorganized, lazy, forgetful - doesn't care? All of the expect a call back - something. Nothing! Nita Diaz - Business Development Manager..... unorganized, lazy, forgetful - doesn't care? All of the above perhaps. I purchased my new fleet of F-350's from another dealership. They were great. There is nothing worse than dealing with incompetent people who promise they will get back to you and then nothing happens. I see other reviews on here about her doing the same thing. More
Not only did I have the sales person lie to me but the manager of new car sales . You have been warned do not go here. I've been purchasing new F1 50s since 1977 every two years. Between cars trucks and m manager of new car sales . You have been warned do not go here. I've been purchasing new F1 50s since 1977 every two years. Be careful when you buy a vehicle from Brandon Ford they sell vehicles that have been used for loaners and demos and sell them as new vehicles, when I purchase mine and I'm sorry this review came a bit late sell vehicles that have been used for loaners and demos and sell them as new vehicles, when I purchase mine and I'm sorry this review came a bit late. My wife was sick. It was in September with 425 miles on it. It was raining that vehicle was wet when they asked me to look it over and couldn’t see the damage, and about a week later I decided to detail my Explorer I found scratches on all the appliqués on the left side of the vehicle, and a a small chip in the passenger rear door . So my point to anyone buying a new vehicle or a used vehicle that they are selling as new because it may have been demo or at loaner vehicle to a customer while their vehicle is in service. Make sure you look at it very carefull. These vehicles are expensive today and when I took it back to Ford about three days later, they didn't want to hear anything about it then I took it to two body shops. I got estimate to replace those appliqués and repaired little chip in the door and he'll be well over $2800. At this point I decided I trade this vehicle in for another explore at a different Ford dealership. I will never deal with Brandon for the game. one more point, when you rent a car, you have to look it over for scratches when are you receiving it? It is reinspected for any damage found , so why doesn’t Brandon Ford do that when their vehicles are returned and charge the customers for damage? another dealer I have purchased from in the past does exactly that. Had “the works” oil change done before driving back to Michigan from Florida. My mileage was down on the trip up north. My son-in-law is a mechanic and he told me to check the engine air filter. It was fi Michigan from Florida. My mileage was down on the trip up north. My son-in-law is a mechanic and he told me to check the engine air filter. It was filthy and they did not let me know. They did not even include the vehicle check-up sheet! So I can only assume they did not bother to look at it. Then I was told they were probably out out of the air filter I needed. Really!! I went to advance auto parts, got the filter, and put it in myself. So much for “the works” multipoint inspection!! Very disappointed Ford Retiree. More
We bought our F-450 from Brandon Ford this weekend. Malcom McGruder took great care of us. He never made us feel like we were dealing with the typical sales person. I sensed nothing but honesty. We wen Malcom McGruder took great care of us. He never made us feel like we were dealing with the typical sales person. I sensed nothing but honesty. We went in looking for something specific and Malcom helped answer any questions we had and took the time post sale to make sure we understood some of the new tech available in our truck. I would shop at Brandon Ford again, and I would ask for Malcom More
