My wife and I were in the market for a new car to replace her 2007 CRV. We worked with Chris Donofrio, who was fantastic. He didn't pressure us to purchase, and we were able to make a deal. However, his sales manager, whose name I didn't catch, was quite rude and unprofessional. When in the finance manager's office, we noticed a discrepancy on the value of our trade in. There was some miscommunication, and mistakes happen. I wasn't thrilled, but chalked it up to an error and was ready to move on, except that when this error was pointed out to the sales manager, he was exclaiming in a fairly rude manner, loud enough for us to hear since we were only 2 feet away, that there was nothing he could to because he had "already lost $1,200 on the car". Even if that were the case, there was clearly a breakdown in communication somewhere, so you'd think that in the spirit of being customer facing, there'd have been some offer of concession as a gesture of goodwill. Instead, we get scoffed at from afar, and I honestly would have walked out had Chris not been so great and had my wife not fallen in love with the car. If the car was for me and I was alone, I'd have taken my business elsewhere, because if that's the reaction that a mistake over $400 gets, I can only imagine how rude he is to others. I'd recommend buying from Chris in a heartbeat, but I can't imagine how it must be for him working under someone like that, who was talking to another colleague and I heard F bombs as we were walking into the office. His overall behavior really turned me off. More
