Brad Deery Motors was established in 1985 adding to the Deery Automotive Group which has proudly served Iowa, Illinois, & Wisconsin as Iowa’s largest auto retail group. Led into the automobile industry by his uncle, John Deery Sr., Brad Deery purchased the dealership at the age of 26. Twenty-eight years of service & dedication to the industry earned him a nomination as “Time’s Dealer of the Year” in 2013 and recipient of the 2013 “Iowa Dealer of the Year”. Brad Deery believes in customer satisfaction & giving back to the community. Some examples of his generous donations over the years include donations to the Athletic Booster Club, Maquoketa Library, Maquoketa YMCA, Jackson County Public Hospital, Maquoketa Kiwanis’ Club, Relay for Life & most recently, Little Bear Park II.. He is also has sponsored community events inclusive of the Jackson County Pro Rodeo, the Jackson County Fair, and Maquoketa Motor Madness. Adam & Amy, We always try to give the best experience possible and I am sorry to hear that we did not meet your expectations. Part of that experience is in keeping the cost of the vehicle down. You had agreed that the vehicle was priced fairly. We value price our vehicles based on miles, condition of the vehicle, and options the vehicle has. Then we compare it to other like vehicles, allowing us to price the vehicle aggressively the first time, and cutting out the negotiation process that most customers hate. In order to maintain that fair price, we did not do a second oil change on the vehicle since it was not due. We had done the previous oil change when it arrived at the dealership and went through the service department. Our policy for pre-owned vehicles is to sell them with a quarter tank of gas. This also allows us to keep the price of the vehicles down. We did not agree to fill the tank, but as a courtesy to you did put more gas in the vehicle. Steve already said that it will be mailed. And the salesperson absolutely agreed to fill the tank. It was on his sales sheet and we agreed to it. It was not a courtesy we asked for it as a part of the negotiating process. This response saying that it wasn’t just lost you any future business from us. Also, the oil change will be due next week ( 1.5 weeks after purchase). So for less than $100 on a $20k + deal we would have walked away a satisfied customer that would have been happy to come back, but instead here we are.

Hello Sam, I am very sorry about your experience. We try very hard to maintain an excellent customer experience and that wasn't the case here. We had escalated it to the owner and VP in order to use it as a learning experience for those involved. The vehicle did have a deposit on it and was actually sold. Our policy is that the vehicle remains online until all of the financing is in place in case something doesn't work out. This particular case, it took longer than normal for all of the funds to arrive, but as soon as they did, it was taken offline. Thank you for the opportunity to assist you and we apologize again. Although I appreciate your reply, you clearly haven't done your due diligence in investigating this matter. I inquired about the truck for sale back on May 22nd, you didn't receive a deposit on the vehicle until June 12th. Between May 22nd and June 12 I spoke with Kenny who had told me the truck sold June 4th, Jeff who had confirmed the truck was available on the 5th but sold on the 6th, and Steve who had confirmed that the truck was on the lot (physically walked out onto your lot), NOT in the sold line ready to sell on June 10th. Because I had received three different stories from your sales team, I had tried to contact Steve O'Mara twice, on different days, both times leaving him voicemails to contact me back. I never received a call back from him. The fact that your dealership waited 13 days to reply to this review, hours before it was posted live to your social channels says a lot about how much you value the customer. This has been one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a dealership and I hope that you take time to use this review as a training tool to better your staff, be more open and honest with your customers and realign with the mission of your company. ..."We have built a reputation on providing courteous, HONEST service.
