I tried to sell my used vehicle through KBB. Bowman responded immediately with a quote that was about $1000 below market value, but I was motivated and they are local so I responded to their of Bowman responded immediately with a quote that was about $1000 below market value, but I was motivated and they are local so I responded to their offer. Their offer quickly dwindled to less than what I could for the catalytic converter (or basically any part of the car). So I sold it to another and got more money than their offer, closer to KBB value. But it gets better. Now I am on their spam list with the email address which was specifically created and only ever used to sell the vehicle. So, be careful not only with bad deals from this dealership, but how they will also misuse the information you give them. I pay for my server and bandwidth and processing time, I didn’t give them permission to use it for solicitation purposes. I gave them the email address to discuss their claim to want to buy my used vehicle. (Which In was selling for $4K, they are selling the same make/model in worse condition than mine was, for $12-14K…no markup there…especially when all repairs to mine would have been less than $2K (dealer margins included, lot less DIY). As such, I lost faith in Bowman and will not do business with them in the future. More
