When my husband and I decided to buy a new car, we started shopping Chevrolet dealerships. Just like 5 previous times we saved Bowman's for last. We shop other dealerships because we do our homework, then we buy from Bowman's because we know from the time we walk in and smell the popcorn to driving our new car off the lot it will be a good experience. This time was a pleasant surprise because a long time acquaintance of my husbands had returned to Bowman's to sell cars. Kirk Fields. Kirk was great from the beginning. We originally wanted a Camaro but decided to test drive an Impala also. We really liked the Impala. Kirk spent time with us noting everything we wanted in this car. My husband is very picky! After a couple of days Kirk was able to track down the car we wanted and had it delivered to Bowman's lot. It was so exciting to see the car for the first time. Kirk did a great job of keeping us informed throughout the process. I think he was as excited as we were. We had some minor scratches that my husband wanted buffed out and the service dept. was great about that. We have always received great service in the past from Bowman's and did this time also. Justin was great about teaching us all the features the car had and answering our questions. I like the idea that we can stop by anytime and someone is always willing to help us. I researched inexpensive compact cars on the Internet and found that Chevorlet has several American made cars. I went to Bowman because it's local and I wanted to test drive a Chevy Sonic and compare lease a found that Chevorlet has several American made cars. I went to Bowman because it's local and I wanted to test drive a Chevy Sonic and compare lease and purchase prices. I told Tony I would also look at other car makes and models. I went to a Honda dealership and test drove a Honda civic, which I liked. But, I did not the hard-sell salesperson. Tony emailed me with comparison prices and said that the Cruz was a better deal for leasing. When I went back to Bowman, I told him about about a bad experience at Honda and about my last purchase two years ago with a finance guy who made me wait two hours then spending 45 minutes trying to up-sell me on several products. I said that if my financing was approved, I wanted to have a hassle-free, quick delivery without a lot of attempts to up-sell me on products. When I came in to sign papers for the lease of a 2014 Cruz, everything was ready for me to sign. Mike Filice, the finance manager, came over and introduced himself and took about 5 minutes to review protection options. No one pressured me. I signed the papers and Tony took me back to meet Jodi in customer service. She gave me a welcome gift and welcomed me to the Bowman service department. Then Tony took me to my new car and walked me through some of the features and stayed with me until I set up ONStar. This was the best car buying experience I have had. More
Had a great salesman but overall got screwed. Usually people buy a used car from a dealer for the idea that it was checked over and necessary repairs were taken care of otherwise i would have saved my self a few grand and bought from a private seller. well i guess i eat crow on this one.
