TRUSTWORTHY-OVERALL GREAT EXPERIENCE Was headed to Saco ME, to buy what I thought was my dream car when I stopped by Portsmouth Jeep to take a quick peek at their inventory. Was admiring a sweet like-new Charger and was greeted by the owner-Alissa who was friendly and inviting and ultimately ended up drawing me in. I like the fact that Alissa actually works at her business and oversees it like a mother with her children, and it shows as this place feels more like family than business. I next met with Jim Blaisdell who greeted me with just the facts and a low pressure pitch. The Charger was very, very low miles-almost new and the car was pretty much mint yet it was priced 3K below average sale price and I like the fact that they didnt try to jack it up to pretend to negotiate it down. Jim comes off as genuine and trustworthy and he was more than happy to let me run my own numbers on the internet and I have to say they priced it more than fair and better than "on the money". I couldnt pass this deal up so off I went to Jess in finance who was quick and efficient and got me one of the best bank deals I've had in ages. She has a easy going nature and I felt more like I was dealing with my best friend than a banker. After sharing a few funny stories and signing some papers my freshly washed, full fueled, inspected, and low mile, low price steal of the century drove up front like a chariot and out bounced JIm and handed me the keys. Overall a fantastic experience with Portsmouth Jeep. ALissa, JIm, and Jess made this a great experience and left me feeling great about this deal. The fair price and treatment for a great car at a fantastic price is what kept me there but the respect and team environment fully on display here is what will bring me back. Keep it up Portsmouth Jeep- you have the ideal business model going on and it shows and your human resources are the best! More

It was determined it needed a new power steering pump, so they thought. I asked them to get me a price on a new pump. After a couple days of no return call I decided to make the drive to where I purchased my car. I mentioned the diagnosis from my local shop. After further review by the mechanic at Bournival Jeep it was found the pump was working fine. The issue was a clogged filter screen. After flushing the system and replacing the fluid the pump is now working fine. The service departments troubleshooting the issue saved me hundreds of dollars in unneeded repairs. More

Welcoming and Friendly Atmosphere I had been researching used SUVs online and had it narrowed down to either a Ford Explorer or a Jeep Grand Cherokee. I put together a list of about 1 I had been researching used SUVs online and had it narrowed down to either a Ford Explorer or a Jeep Grand Cherokee. I put together a list of about 15 vehicles I wanted to test drive in the Portsmouth area, and set out early one Saturday morning to test drive as many as I could and see if maybe one was worth purchasing. My wife and I stopped at Bournival Jeep after test driving a 2011 Ford Explorer that day at another dealership (and crossing off 3 other vehicles found online that didn't make the cut when seen in person). We were about 90% certain we were going to buy the Explorer at the other dealership, but felt that we owed it to ourselves to visit Bournival Jeep since they had such a good selection of Grand Cherokees in our price range, and we knew we'd regret it if we didn't at least test drive one of them. So we got to Bournival, where Blake Palmer introduced himself and quickly showed us to the 2012 Grand Cherokee I had seen online. It was in great condition and at a great price (recently reduced from an already competitive price). We took it out for a test drive and upon returning to the dealership, Blake brought us through the neighboring off-road trail to demonstrate the capability of the 4WD. I am not sure if this is normal practice for a Jeep dealership, but it was definitely a notable and enjoyable part of the experience. After the test drive, my wife and I talked and realized that we just didn't like the feel of the Grand Cherokee as much as the Ford Explorer. However, we noticed that Bournival also had a 2013 Ford Explorer. So we test drove that and quickly decided that was the car we wanted. Despite it being a busy Saturday afternoon at the dealership, Blake spent about 4 hours solely on us. Even after the sale was done, while I was waiting for my insurance and financing to come through and for the dealership to final inspect and clean the car, Blake sat with me and kept me company when he could have gone out on the lot and got more sales. We talked hobbies and other interests, and it felt like I was just chatting with an old friend while waiting for the car to be ready. I also need to note how nice it was working with Jess. She was energetic, positive, and just a pleasure to work with. She explained the financing terms clearly, ran through multiple payment options/scenarios, and was able to answer any and all questions I could think to ask. My overall experience with Bournival Jeep was positive. I will be happy to deal with them now for service and routine maintenance on my newly purchased car. And if I were to consider a Jeep in the future, this is the first place I would look. More

Came close more than once but wasn't satisfied with either the particular car or the service of the sales person. Finally found one at Bournival Jeep and made a call. I asked for the best salesman and was given to Mr. Blake Palmer. Blake and the dealership were open honest and reasonable. Bought the car and the three hour ride back in the new car felt like a short commute. Thanks to all at Bournival who helped me - even Molly the lab. More
Great Experience - No Sales Pressure We were lucky to work with Steve Tobey, we went with intentions to purchase one 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, and was going to have a few things done We were lucky to work with Steve Tobey, we went with intentions to purchase one 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, and was going to have a few things done as far as a lift, bigger tires, etc. Ended up with a really informative salesman who offered comparisons of the different models, and so on....The next weekend we went back an purchased a 2nd 2015 Jeep Wrangler. Steve was very thorough, explained the features of the vehicles, how to take care of and adjust the soft-tops, how to remove the hard-tops, etc. The conversations were always casual, took the time to really get to know his customers. Worth the long drive for us from Southwestern NH to beautiful Portsmouth! Even the paperwork was seemless and not long and drawn out. Jess, the finance manager was great as well! More

Not the case at Bournival Jeep. I had already found a potential set of wheels, and when I called to ask about them, was told that the car had just come in, had not yet been cleaned -- but to come right on over (a rare chance to see what those fresh smelling "just like new" vehicles look and smell like before they're fresh). I arrived, Blake took me around back to look at the car. We both knew it seemed like a good deal, but neither of us really knew, because the dealer hadn't had a chance to properly inspect it. I was nervous, and decided to come back the following morning, Thursday, to make a decision. By Friday noon the car was mine. Yes, the price was right. But what impressed me most was the experience. Blake was straightforward, forthcoming and respectful. He actually listened and responded to my concerns (which included my life story...). I felt a sense of relief before I bought the car. On transaction day, it was pretty clear there was some common DNA at this dealership: I could hear it in the voices of customers and salespeople behind me. When the time came, and I was "called" into the finance manager's office, well, there was that same aura of easygoing honesty. When Jessica laughed at some comment I made, I knew it was a real laugh -- and not, to put it precisely, at my expense. I'll be back, folks! More

He has used Bournival for over 2 years and never had a single complaint. I figured it was time I gave Bournival service a visit. Called and Mike was very professional on the phone. He had me scheduled a couple days later, which was quite surprising since I usually have to wait about 2 weeks with my usual dealer. On the morning of the appointment I showed up and Bruce greeted me. I mentioned to him the issues I was having and informed him I would be waiting for the Jeep. He took a quick look in the service bays and said they would take a look at the Jeep shortly. I had expected to be waiting for most of the day; however, by 10:30 the Jeep was ready to roll. They could have held the Jeep longer and I probably wouldn't have noticed. The dealership wants customers to feel welcomed. Their waiting area has some comfy leather sofas, massage chairs and complimentary popcorn and drinks. Plus the Jeep displays are delightful. I've been to most of the central and Southern NH Jeep dealerships and not one displays a Jeep the way Bournival does. Overall this was a great experience and I will definitely return for future warranty and general maintenance work. When it comes time to upgrade my Jeep Bournival may get first dibs. More
