Good overall experience. Second auto purchased through Bournes. The buyer seems to inventory cars that are great deals. Bournes prices are usually the best. Their offices, showroom, lot and service bays are well kept. I have purchased my second car with them through the same salesman, David Pair. Do yourself a favor and ask for David when you are looking for a car. He will not be the "typical" salesman and try all crazy sales tactics to sell you a car. Just talk with him. I'm a sales professional and when I deal with Bournes I always wonder why their sales approach is not aggressive...I think I have figured it out.....they don't need to be aggressive as they offer good cars at good prices...they are not jacking up the prices to make more money and keep you from going to another competitively priced car elsewhere...basically up front pricing "no haggle". At first there were some issues with closing the deal on the used BMW, however David pulled his Sales Manager (Chris O'Neill) into the picture and we sorted everything out where I am happy now. Our first Expedition was purchased at Bournes about 5 years ago and we just traded in the truck with 100,000 miles, unfortunately we traded it into another large dealer in Quincy and my experience was absolutely painful and I would NEVER go back and strongly tell others of this ordeal. Just really BAD sales tactics, lies, etc. Conclusion....good dealership....highly recommend to others looking for better than average used cars at the best prices around. Check out their website when shopping. More

I was reffered to Bournes by a friend whose family may own more Bournes cars than the dealership does! Spoke with Scott on the phone, when I arrived car was gased and waiting for me to drive. I loved the own more Bournes cars than the dealership does! Spoke with Scott on the phone, when I arrived car was gased and waiting for me to drive. I loved the car and Scott made the process easy. When I came to pick up the car it was cleaned and shining under the lights of the dealership.(if you have never seen you car freshly waxed under bright lights its something I reconmend doing, made me feel like I was important). Bournes does it right and Im glad I chose to go there and thankful for the help and service Scott was able to provide. -Adam Everett Proud owner of a pre-owned 2007 Saab 9-3, black on black, manual transmission with wheels cool enough that I dont want to get too close to a curb. I checked out a few Saabs at this dealer over a recent weekend. The dealership was pretty busy and had a great selection. What I liked: No haggle pricing; pricing was clearly marked on their website weekend. The dealership was pretty busy and had a great selection. What I liked: No haggle pricing; pricing was clearly marked on their website and the selection of Saabs and Acuras was excellent. Their location was also great giving a potential buyer the possibility of going on the highway or trying some city streets during the test drive. There was no real sales pitch, in fact I kind of wondered if they wanted to make the sale after speaking with the sales manager. They also had the carfax/autocheck report to hand out upon inquiry. What I disliked: Unfortunately the list of dislikes is a bit longer. For starters, there was one salesperson dealing with three customers so beyond getting the keys and a dealer plate, he wasn't much help. There was little he could add to history of the car, or what type of repairs would be made prior to buying the car, or any features of the car. Out of the three cars I test drove, all had issues that I was not expecting in this price range (three had low tire pressure, one had grinding brakes, one had a service engine light on, one shook on the highway, one had severely cracked leather on the seat, all had dings/scratches, two out of the three needed new tires, one was missing the backside of the mirror, and one had clearly hit another car and the bumper needed replacement). In addition to the car issues, all cars needed a solid cleaning. Its hard to picture yourself in someone elses dirty car. Unfortunately the salesperson said they dont bother to recondition the car, they are sold as is unless its a safety issue and they are washed and vacuumed. He could not confirm if new tires would be added but he did say they would not be the same quality as expected on a Saab. There's also a documentation fee of $375 which they charge everyone. The salesperson did admit that it stinks for a cash buyer since there's very little documentation required but they must charge everyone. He referred me to a sign that shows all that the documentation fee covers - its not much unless they are securing your financing. Add this together with the dings and quality issues and the price is about the same as a new car dealer - maybe slightly less. If the dealer reads this: I'd really be interested in some of your cars but it's hard to tell what will be covered under your safety check; I'd also assume the vehicle should go through this check before you allow anyone to test drive. A check engine light or thinking about other repairs is not something that you want to see when shelling out $16,000. Overall: Decent prices but look beyond the price, miles, and model, there may be some dings that you will have to reapir which would otherwise be fixed at a new car sales lot. I've got my eye on the three cars and if the price drops, I'll be back. If not, I'll keep looking but I think Bourne's is definitely worth checking out. More
I've been incredibly pleased with my used car purchases and repair service provided by Bourne's Auto Center. Shawn Saunders is a knowledgeable, approachable professional who always makes time for customer and repair service provided by Bourne's Auto Center. Shawn Saunders is a knowledgeable, approachable professional who always makes time for customers and genuinely cares that you are getting the best possible service and attention. In addition, Shawn was a tremendous help to me as he has a strong background regarding Infiniti vehicles. He helped me quite a bit, patiently answering the questions that I had. Without coercing me in any way, he gave me a good, honest comparison of the Acura vs. the Infiniti - and when I asked his opinion, he felt that the Infiniti had the slight edge. Shawn's endorsement helped move me in the direction of the Infiniti. But, then I drove the car and did my own research. And, it was a no-brainer - purchasing an Infiniti from Bourne's was an easy decision. The combination of their lower prices, excellent service dept. (Mike Clark is an asset to Bourne's - he returns calls and provides an understandable explanation of work that is needed - in addition, in the past, he has been more than fair, at one point, conducting an evaluation of a vehicle that I owned and never charging me - a good guy on top of it all). Scott Phillips was the sales rep. who assisted me with finalizing the purchase of my Infiniti. Scott was extremely helpful, got me answers to questions re: the car, streamlined the purchase and vehicle registration procedures so all I had to do was show up to pick up the vehicle. I like the experience of working with Bourne's - the employees seem to work well together as they often step in for one another in seamless fashion when someone isn't available or its their day off. They also seem like hard-working people, which I respect. Lastly, there is no evident competition for customers between them (for commissions) so there isn't a cutthroat type environment which makes for a more pleasant atmosphere for the customer. For people in the market for a car, I highly recommend Bourne's without reservation. Also, for service of a vehicle, Bourne's is the place I trust. More

We bought two used cars at the same time from Scott. We had many things we wanted done between both vehicles. Most of the items were done to our satisfaction and some of the smaller things were not. At times it felt as though we made Scott jump through hoops but he was friendly and helpful throughout the process. They secured used car loan with an excellent rate for us. To date we have purchased four vehicles from Bourne's. We will be going back for number five, six, and so on. I like their no haggle policy. The price is the price there. More
The buying process was simple, no pressure and very straight forward. There were some minor issues with the vehicle upon delivery and the service team took complete and expedited care of everything. Purchased a 2007 Honda Accord - one owner just coming off lease with 42K miles. Selection of cars on lot was excellent. Sales force was very low key and helpful. Just walk around the lot and they ask if t lease with 42K miles. Selection of cars on lot was excellent. Sales force was very low key and helpful. Just walk around the lot and they ask if there is something you want to test drive. They run in and get the keys and off you go. On-line inventory available on web page was up to date and helpful. Prices as compared to other dealers was excellent. I had been lokking at cars for about a month and this was by far the best for both price and inventory Walked in and two hours later had the car I was looking for with no hassles or price haggling. I would definitely go back to this dealership for another car. It came recommended to me as a great spot with exxcellent mid to high end inventory. I agree. Picking up the car was a breeze. No aftermarket options push whatsoever. Just paid up and rolled home. More
I have been purchased cars from Bourne's Auto Center for the past 8 years. The employees at Bourne are very professional and their prices are unbeatable. Recently I had my Saab (that I purchased from Bou the past 8 years. The employees at Bourne are very professional and their prices are unbeatable. Recently I had my Saab (that I purchased from Bourne 6 months ago) serviced, Bourne provided me with a loaner car and assumed the cost for a faulty sensor fuel gauge...the cost of the tune up was a fraction of what dealerships charge.
