At Bourne’s Auto Center we participate in the DealerRater Certified Dealer Program. We are committed to providing high quality customer service, but based on your DealerRater review, you did not share that experience. That is very disappointing to us, and through this program we have the opportunity to work with you to resolve any issues with your experience at their dealership. As soon as this review was submitted I immediately attempted to contact you via telephone and email. I did not receive a response to either of these. I made a third attempt to contact you via phone 3 days later, to no avail. I then responded through Dealerrater’s messaging system and was able to receive a response that said there was nothing that we could do to fix your problem. I returned that message with an attempt to fix the problem in good faith, to date I haven’t received a response. So far this year we have currently sold 1,228 vehicles and this is only the second negative review we have received thus far this year. It is worth noting that neither of these reviews were the result of the quality of the vehicle we sold, meaning there has been no mechanical breakdowns or safety issues. I will address the issues that you have taken issue with and best explain them so that potential customers are aware of these facts when purchasing a pre-owned automobile at Bourne’s Auto Center or elsewhere. The rate that is currently quoted at our dealership is 1.99%. This is the absolute lowest rate we can offer but not every customer or every vehicle qualifies for this rate. This was explained to you multiple times BEFORE you signed any paperwork, you also changed vehicles from a 2011 vehicle to a 2007 vehicle. Unfortunately, a 2007 vehicle does not qualify for the same rate as a 2011. If you were unhappy with the rate, you could have choose not to move forward with the purchase or obtain financing through your own bank. As for the second key, simply put we advertise EVERY vehicle with one key and one remote, some cars have multiple keys some do not. We fully disclose this in every vehicle description on-line. Lastly, we have no record in our system that the vehicle did not pass inspection. After you took delivery of the vehicle it has NEVER returned to our dealership. We are not saying that the vehicle did not pass inspection, but I also have no record that it did not either. It is simply not true that we do not care about customers after they leave the lot, which is why we have been a Certified Dealer with DealerRater since 2007. It is our goal to have all of that done within 30 minutes as there is a substantial amount of paperwork and electronic entry to complete the paperwork and receive the plates from the RMV. In in an effort to keep our used vehicle prices as low as possible, it is not possible for us to fill every vehicle we sell(214 vehicles in May). We take that money and invest it in the safety and maintenance of the vehicle before the customer takes delivery with our rigorous 30 point inspection process.
