Going Downhill Fast I took my Altima in for a scheduled oil change and tire rotation. I purchased the maintenance coupon book Boucher offers when I purchased the car from them several years ago. I have had great experiences with them over the years, but things seem to have changed as of late. The customer service has always been great...friendly, caring staff. This particular visit, I had asked for an oil change and tire rotation (which was listed on the coupon). I had a tire that was low on air (I had been getting a low tire warning on my console over the last several days), so I asked that they check the air pressure and fill it to the appropriate amount when they rotated the tires. I waited for the service in their waiting room, which is always nice and clean. As expected, the service person came into the waiting area about half way through the appointment explaining that both of my air filters needed to be changed and gave me the price of each one. I elected to have them change the engine filter. My car was finished within about an hour (perfectly acceptable) and I was checked out. Upon checking out, the cost of the air filter was almost double of what I was expecting. Upon further inspection, I realized the cost of the labor was not included in the price I was quoted to change the filter. If I had known I was going to pay $30+ to have someone put a new air filter in my car, I would have declined. While not entirely dishonest, it gives the appearance of that because of the stark contrast between the quoted cost and the actual cost with labor included. Moving forward, I would suggest that you start quoting the prices customers are going to see on their invoice at the end of the appointment, not just the cost of the materials. After leaving the service desk shaking my head, I got in my car and turned it on to find the check tire warning back on again. Not only that, but the tire pressures on all of my tires had not changed position on the diagram in my console, meaning a tire rotation was never completed! The same back rear tire was low and all of the other tires were at the same pressures they were when I had arrived at the dealership. And I know this because I had been staring at the tire pressures for the last several days and had basically committed each tire pressure to memory, especially the one that was low. I immediately checked my invoice to find out if a tire rotation was "charged" to me...and it was. It's listed as a line item, but was never completed. If I hadn't have had a service coupon, I would have been furious. Instead, I have decided to take my business elsewhere. The people are very nice and I have had great experiences, but the trust level has fallen dramatically and for someone who purchased my car at that dealership, this experience was very disappointing. Had coupon for synthetic oil change and tire rotation- 59 dollars - says I declined tire rotation- so I paid 59 for oil change- not sure if there was a miscommunication but now I still need tire rotation! - dollars - says I declined tire rotation- so I paid 59 for oil change- not sure if there was a miscommunication but now I still need tire rotation! - also needed some axle replaced 833 -Price seems way inflated- I’ve always like coming to the dealer but now I’m not sure. Nissan off with a black eye from start. Was not happy to get in my car to leave and find my radio on a different station than the one I listen to. That was just annoying and weird. More

Mike Garrett took the car for a drive and immediately asked the service people to check. The recommendation was for a lot of work on the front and after the repair, I believed they were correct. More
Went in for a warranty repair and ended up with a $350 bill I called and gave the service person the code for my check engine light. I asked several times whether the work would be covered under warranty, and I called and gave the service person the code for my check engine light. I asked several times whether the work would be covered under warranty, and she said it would be. I received a call the next day saying that the engine cover was damaged and needed to be replaced in order for them to complete the warranty work. They said that it could have been damaged by driving over snow. I believe that if I would have purchased the cover from a local car repair shop, I wouldn't have $350, I located this part on-line for around $60. When I asked the service individual if there were any alternatives, she said no. I felt that I didn't have a choice since she said that the warranty work couldn't be completed without replacing the cover. I feel that this was the dealership's way of getting some money from me for the work that they had to do. I will never buy a vehicle there again. More
