On Saturday, May 27th, 2023, my wife and I stopped in at this dealership to see a newly listed USED Honda Accord that we were looking to buy for a graduation present for my soon to be College student. Boucher Nissan of Waukesha just took this car into inventory from a trade in very recently. It had not yet been through a safety inspection yet, but they listed it for sale and was safe to drive. We took it for a test our sales person David Walker and I was very interested in the vehicle to purchase. I said to him after the test drive that I wanted to take the vehicle to my mechanic after they had done their safety inspection because the Car Fax had listed an accident, but that I wanted to put money down to hold the vehicle. David said all of this was OK, that we could take it to our mechanic and proceeded to say that we didn't need to put money down on the car. The sales manager came over and sat with us explaining what they needed to do to inspect the car and that would happen after Memorial Day weekend. I said, no hurry, we are OK with their timeline. I again said, I don't want anyone walking off with the car, but please keep me updated to the timeline of what I need to do in order to get this purchase done as we were the first people to look at the vehicle, and we offered to again put money down if necessary. On Memorial Day, David sends me a text saying he wants to keep me updated on the Accord in that he has a few people looking at it right now. Give me a call with questions.... I immediately said, we are interested AGAIN in the vehicle and even told our kid about his Graduation present (the car) since our visit. Told them again willing to put dollars down. He replies, I will update you tomorrow. Today, 5/31 I reach out and he says the car was sold on 5/30 in the evening. He said that it still had to go through the safety check and that the other person didn't need their mechanic to look at it. Never was I told about this, after many times telling them that I was interested in buying this car, in that if they told me the option out there to be fair to me on SATURDAY 5/27 I would have probably proceeded with the purchase. David tells me another sales person sold it last night.... no control, no ethics, not good people. They lied to me and I clearly stated I have the ability to buy this vehicle. I get it that the used car market is hot, but you should be able to trust what your sales people are telling you and if they cannot do something, they need to be upfront and say it. They proceeded to lie to me about how they were going to be perfectly able to take another person's money and take the car right out from under me as another sales person was quick to take his commission payment quickly. All our time was wasted, which could have been avoided, if they could tell the truth. I am an owner of a 2023 Ford Bronco that I bought from the Boucher family in Thiensville, WI in December. That is a fantastic dealership, but clearly not all Boucher sales people and managers at other locations are cut from that same cloth. I would advise staying far away from this dealership, especially if looking for a used car. They would lie to the Lord Almighty and not think twice. More
