This response is from Ellen A. Hayward, NEW owner of a 2021 Chevy Equinox purchased in full, cash and trade, on Dec 31 2020...from Boucher Chevrolet in Waukesha, WI. I am the owner. My husband, Todd E 2021 Chevy Equinox purchased in full, cash and trade, on Dec 31 2020...from Boucher Chevrolet in Waukesha, WI. I am the owner. My husband, Todd E. Hayward, is second/or co owner. Your survey was sent to his address only because as a prior Chevy buyer (Heiser Chevy), his name popped up in your system and it wasn't worth the hassle to put my name first on documents. Todd forwarded the surveys to my email address. For whatever reason the surveys themselves did not forward. So here is my experience. The car was delivered without having met the stipulation that all Chevy logo/bow ties were to be black. Only front and back of vehicle had the correct logo. Steering wheel and tires had the gold logo. Steering wheel logo has since been painted by a Boucher artist. Neither the dealer (nor us-shame on us) caught this issue at delivery late Dec. 31. I noticed it when I got home and contacted the salesman immediately. The wheels have the gold/yellow logo and we have been asking for 3 weeks+ for this to be addressed. Numerous efforts...phone, email, text - with agreement from Boucher reps - to fix the problem. What we got were possible solutions, no completion and then excuses as to why the fix could not yet be made. "We have caps, we don't have caps. we have wheels, we have to order wheels, the wheels that came in are for Australia"(???), on and on. AS OF END OF DAY JANUARY 23 - NO SOLUTION - JUST EXCUSES. The deal is done, you got your money - so why bother...right? I don't know which is worse...dealing with rude dealership personnel who do nothing or dealing with "nice" people as were those at Boucher who can't/don't finish this as originally promised. We will not return to Boucher. Service work when needed will be done elsewhere. We will not refer anyone to Boucher. It took me a very long time to decide on a Chevy and I'm sorry I did. There's an old saying..."it isn't the mistakes made, it's how they are fixed that counts".... Boucher gets poor marks for dragging this out and making empty promises....failure to launch. Chad was fabulous! He greeted us upon arrival and really showed us what we were looking for. He was direct, forward, and not pushy. He also made us feel comfortable. We have been customers of Boucher Nissan for quite a few years. This time we chose a Chevy and were pleased with the experience. Personally, if I don't care for the sales person, I'm outta there. As it turned out we were very pleased with the random luck of Matt Maurer, so we stayed. The deal we needed didn't work out the first evening (they stayed nearly an hour past closing) but we got a call the next day and the deal presented let us walk out with our Chevy Traverse. I guess that's the way it's played ;-? The paperwork was pretty much painless: no pressure to buy things we didn't want, just a presentation and explanation. There are a few loose ends but we are totally confident they will be taken care of. A great experience, only reinforcing what we already felt. More
