Found the Truck I was looking for on Auto Trader but Arnell was over an hour way. But sent them along with about 7 other used truck dealers. After several days of not hearing back from some other dealers and somekind of form letters from others I decided to at least drive the hour to Burns Harbor and check out the truck, I"M VERY GLAD I DID!!! I have a new car and have gone to this dealership twice. They fixed one of my issues no problem but on inspecting the car after I got it back I found a scratch on my car after the the work. They buffed it They fixed one of my issues no problem but on inspecting the car after I got it back I found a scratch on my car after the the work. They buffed it out no problem. A week later the scratch came back. All well... Another time I came in I needed my car checked after a hard start problem last winter (vehicle still under warranty) and Mike wanted to charge me for him to look at it. Turns out it was the battery (I went to another dealership) Steer clear of the service department at this dealership. More
I passed Arnell Chevrolet / Kia everyday for 10 years coming and going to work. Last year my daughter wanted to buy a new car so we looked at Arnell Kia, were treated excellent and we purchased a 2011 Ki coming and going to work. Last year my daughter wanted to buy a new car so we looked at Arnell Kia, were treated excellent and we purchased a 2011 Kia Forte. I decided it was time for a new car a few weeks ago and found what I wanted on their Chevrolet web site and received an answer within minutes of making an inquiry. I stopped by Monday evening, James walked right up and 2 hours later drove off with my new car (2012 Sonic LT). James was the most pleasant and professional salesman I have ever dealt with in my life of buying 20+ cars. His knowledge of the product and presentation was on par with Lexus or Mercedes standards. This is my first domestic auto purchase since 1988, General Motors is building world class cars and I am glad to have bought from a great dealership like Arnell Chevrolet, you can bet I will recommend them to anyone looking for a car.Lastly I stopped by to drop off a car key yesterday, and Larry (the finance mgr) had found me a better interest rate to top the deal. I contacted Arnell through their Online sales site looking for a new KIA optima. The experience started out very pleasant.I first spoke with Sarah Sullivan, and she had scheduled me an appointment wit looking for a new KIA optima. The experience started out very pleasant.I first spoke with Sarah Sullivan, and she had scheduled me an appointment with Tom on Saturday to have my trade in car appraised. I was upfront with them that I was on a timeline and what I wanted to do right off the bat. I went in on a Saturday to have my car appraised and was told Louis would be helping me. They took my car to be appraised and I told Louis that I would do the financing application online and that we would speak over the phone during the week to crunch numbers and hopefully we can make a deal. I told him in advance where I wanted a payment and if he could get it to that payment that we would be good to go. The following Monday I did the online finance application, called Louis and told him to call me back when they crunched the numbers and we would see where we were at. Sarah called me back on Monday to check and see how my appointment went. I told her that it went great and that I had done the finance application about a half hour ago and Louis would be contacting me. Louis did not call me on Monday. I called Louis Tuesday during the day and left a message, he called me back on Tuesday night after Sarah Sullivan sent me an email and said that he was really busy and that he would have the numbers for me on Wednesday. On Wednesday morning I called Louis and he said he would call me at 11 and have all the information. He called around 11 and we were within the payment I requested. I told him it sounded good and I would talk it over with the wife and if she said it was good then I would be in on Saturday to do the paperwork and be out with a new car. I called him back about a half hour later and asked him if he could send me an email with the info for the price, trade in value, ect, so I can see the numbers. He said sure and he would have it to me that evening. I called Louis Thursday morning and left a message, I again called on Thursday night to see if the price quote was ready and did not get a hold of Louis. On Friday morning, I called Sarah Sullivan and told her that I had not received the price quote in an email and if she would be able to get it from Louis, she called me back about a half hour later and said that Louis was working on it and he would sent it ASAP. I told her that it was going on almost 48 hours and I was going to come in on Saturday and I did not want any surprises. She was very apologetic. I was leaving the Indianapolis area heading to NW Indiana on Friday at 3pm. I received the price quote Email at 230pm. In the email it quoted "Louis and I think this will get us close to what you wanted." As I looked at the price quote, NONE of the information that Louis and I spoke about was on there. The email came from someone who I have never had contact with at Arnell. As I left the Indianapolis area I called Louis on his personal cell phone (which he told me that I could call on.) I then called when I reached West Lafayette and again when I reached Crown Point. I did not receive a call back from Louis, and I was supposed to be buying a car from him the next day. Louis did not call me on Saturday to see if I was coming in or not. On the following Monday Sarah Sullivan called me and asked how everything went. I informed her of what happened since the last time we spoke and that Louis has not called me at all. I also informed her that I had purchased a 2013 Kia Optima EX from Thomas Kia of Highland. I have received an email from Louis asking if "I have any questions and that he just wanted to drop me a quick line and find out if there are any more questions he can answer for me concerning the 2013 Kia Optima Iinquire about?" Sadly Louis, I do not have anymore questions for you. All the questions I needed answered came from Sarah and the people at Thomas Kia of Highland. v/r Mike Spongberg More

Louis Dirienzo was friendly, attentive, responsive to all my questions and concerns, and gave understandable instructions on how to use the many extras on the loaded Kia Optima SX we finally decided on. I t my questions and concerns, and gave understandable instructions on how to use the many extras on the loaded Kia Optima SX we finally decided on. I take time in buying a new car and my wife or I test drove three different new KIA models over a three-day period. All were good and but with no pressure from anyone at your dealership that I choose the higher price over the lower models, with my wife's concurrence, I chose the costliest one and am glad I did so. Really, throughout our discussions and email exchanges during the three-to four day period before signing the dotted lines, Louis and I came to a complete agreement. A couple of issues came up -- one being the clothe interior in the mid-range Optima -- something my wife did NOT want -- and the clothe could be changed to leather without having to go up to the SX model. Well, that was wonderful. But then, after driving the loaded SX and learning the seats were both heated and air conditioned (living seven months a year in Florida), well THAT did it. THE loaded turbo SX was it. Most of all, I quickly came to like Louis, foremost as a human being -- has a sense of humor, good natured, doesn't appear to get riddled, and enjoys being with and working with customers. A good, good man! It is easy to buy a car from that kind of person who is, of course, knowledgeable about all aspects of the products he is selling. More
