I Am a "snow bird" from Pittsburgh and my wife is handicaped. We have a 2020 Honda Pilot on a lease that will expire in July. It is a fine vehicle BUT the AWD sets it a little too high for her to access. We have owned Chrysler minivans in the past and they were easier to get in. Before getting a new vehicle at the end of this lease we elected to purchase a used minivan. We both wanted a red one as our current and previous ones were white and silver. I searched the internet for a month and found one at Boniface Hiers. I spoke with a salesperson for internet calls and made a deal over the phone to buy it. It was late Friday afternoon February 4th 2020 so I agreed to drive down from Crystal River, {147 miles] on Saturday with my friend to drive the car home. When we arrived, there was a red Chrysler minivan sitting out front, as I had been told it would be. We got out and went over to see it, and a gentleman, Kasey, asked if he could help us. We told him we came to pick up the red van and I had a cashiers check for the total agreed amount. He said it was sold and I said yes I bought it yesterday over the phone. He was "taken back" and said their was a person inside who bought it. SURPRISE, SURPRISE!! We went inside and waited while Kasey spoke to the used car manager, Joe. When he came back he was VERY apologetic and said that Joe said they had a 2014 Silver Chrysler I could have for the same price as the 2012 Red one I came for. I did not want another silver vehicle so at first I said no. Kasey was very understanding and did not push me. My friend and I talked for a few minutes and I agreed to look at it. It had 20,000 more miles than the Red one ,but it was 2 years newer. We went for a test ride and I remarked the transmission seemed a little noisy when shifting. Kasey said it may be a CVT and they were a little bit noisy. We got back and after I thought it over I agreed to take it. I did the paper work and we started our trip home. When I pulled into my home my neighbor came over and asked me what was all the "whining noise" coming from my car. The transmission was going out! Monday morning I called Kasey and explained that the transmission was bad. He said he would call me back after speaking with Joe and the GM, Steven. I thought since I bought it "AS IS" Kasey would say they could not help me, WRONG, he called me back and said to bring it back and they would take care of me. I took it back and met with Wesley in the service department. He and I test drove and he agreed the transmission was at fault. He spoke with Steven and said they will fix it. On top of that he wanted to give me a loaner car!! I said thank you, I didn't need one They are currently fixing it at no cost to me. WOW!! They are a really great dealership and I highly recommend them. I will deal with them again and Kasey is on the look out for a Red one for me. It renews my faith in big companies who REALLY DO CARE about the little guy!! Tom and Janet S. More

Went to perform manufacturer scheduled maintenance on my vehicle and discovered an abnormally faulty part. Went to NHTSA on a whim to see if this was documented which it was in both a Mazda TSB and a recall vehicle and discovered an abnormally faulty part. Went to NHTSA on a whim to see if this was documented which it was in both a Mazda TSB and a recall. Brought it into the dealership to have them look at it and they told me they can't find anything wrong. There is clearly something wrong if they ever even looked at it, and there are literally a Mazda TSB and recall which applies to this exact issue. When I brought up the TSB and recall they said because I took a wheel off my vehicle I voided the warranty lol. I don't know if it's a lack of concern for customer safety or just arrogance but the way this dealership is representing Mazda is pitiful. I bought Japanese for reliability and the experience I've had with other Japanese manufacturer's after sales support was leagues ahead of what I experienced at Boniface Hiers. They've turned me off to the point where I paid out of pocket to fix the issue myself, sold my Mazda, will never buy another Mazda, and went next door to Porsche and went German this time around. Good riddance. More
Recently had warranty work done on my Mazda. Trae was my service advisor and, as always, did an outstanding job. He kept me informed of the work being done throughout the entire process. Just leased my first brand new car through Michael Durkin. He did everything possible for me to be able to take the plunge and go for it! Definitely recommend him. He showed me everything I needed to Durkin. He did everything possible for me to be able to take the plunge and go for it! Definitely recommend him. Service department and technicians are either grossly incompetent or intentionally ripping people off. I have done all of my service there on time plus extra services as they provide them. My year old ca incompetent or intentionally ripping people off. I have done all of my service there on time plus extra services as they provide them. My year old car’s start button started flashing. When I brought it in for service they tore apart my dash to inspect the start button itself and determined it failed because of my e cigarette therefore saying it isn’t covered under warranty and I have to pay for their labor to diagnose the flashing light. They offered to replace it for a charge of more than $300. A quick google search showed that start button flashes when there’s inadequate power to the vehicle (battery or alternator failure). They assured me that my battery was perfect (after they put it on the charger I found out later). I let it go knowing my battery was most likely going to quit on me. Sure enough a month and a half later I am calling road side assistance to jump me. I went to the auto parts store to get a new battery to get to work and after replacing the battery ...THE START BUTTON STOPPED FLASHING!!!! The battery was swollen and leaking from the acid cap. Imagine that. On top of that they had the audacity to tell me I should have brought it to them because my battery was covered under warranty and they can’t reimburse me nor would they reimburse me for the improper diagnosis of e-cigarette killed your new car. Trae (the service advisor) smirked as he said “well you should have brought it in to us instead”. Now I will be doing my own service instead paying $100 for an oil change at a business that goes out of its way not to honor the manufacture or their own “lifetime” warranty. More
As a 74-year-old woman shopping for an auto "solo" for the first time in my life, I was anticipating being bombarded by a "hard-sell" sales pitch. To the contrary, I was treated with patience and respect the first time in my life, I was anticipating being bombarded by a "hard-sell" sales pitch. To the contrary, I was treated with patience and respect by my salesperson, Marcia Ramos, Frank Liquori, and Steve Jaikissoon, who made the experience informative and stress free. Marcia is an extremely patient, knowledgeable, and caring young lady who has answered my many phone calls and walked me through the learning process associated with acclimating to the new operational system of my CX-5. Thank you Boniface-Hiers. Mazda, you do "make it simple"! Leila R More
