I purchased a 2009 Toyota Corolla from Bommarito Volkswagen of Hazelwood in November of 2009. The bumper to bumper warranty from Toyota was expired since it had over 36,000 miles on it but Bommarit Volkswagen of Hazelwood in November of 2009. The bumper to bumper warranty from Toyota was expired since it had over 36,000 miles on it but Bommarito guaranteed me their own 30 day bumper to bumper warranty. About a week after I bought the car I noticed that there was some vibration in the steering column and the heater wasn't working properly, so I contacted my salesman. I took the car in to have it looked at and then spoke to the pre-owned sales manager Joe. He informed me that I had 2 bent wheels and that they would order the parts to fix them. He also told me that they were going to look into the heater problem and maybe discuss it with Toyota since it was barely past warranty. Shortly thereafter I also noticed that I wasn't even given a spare tire! I called Joe back and was told I would get a tire when I brought my car back in for service. Roughly a week to 10 days later the parts came in and I took the car back to them. They fixed the wheels and then informed me I needed a new blower switch for my heater, but they weren't going to cover that since I "didn't mention it within my 30 day warranty," which was totally incorrect! After a week of negotiating it finally took a very nasty e mail from my father for them to agree to repair the heater. After 2 1/2 weeks I finally got my car back yesterday and again I am completely disappointed! Not only was there still no spare tire, but where they had removed my dash was nicked and scratched and not just a little, extremely obvious, not to mention that when the part was put back on they installed it OVER the antennae wire to my XM radio so that I can't remove it from my car. I plan on taking the car back again this afternoon and demanding they repair what they messed up but I highly doubt I will have any luck. This dealership does not stand behind their work or their warranty. This was my first car purchase and it was supposed to be a great experience for me but it has been nothing short of a complete nightmare! I've made 2 car payments now and I've been actually able to drive my car for less than a month! They saw a chance to unload a lemon on a young unsuspecting female and they took it. I've never felt so insulted in my life! I will never buy from Bommarito again if this is what I would have to look forward to. More
