After spending 9 hours negotiating the price of a vehicle my son was interested in, and coming to a verbal agreement, the finance manager was instructed by the sales manager to withdraw the deal because he (the sales manager) discovered he had made an over $2000 mistake in his calculations and couldn’t sell us the truck at that price because they would lose money. I had begun speaking on the phone at 9 am with a Toyota representative. We discussed at great length the details of the potential purchase. He repeatedly checked with his sales manager as we negotiated back and forth. My son lives in KC. He was the one interested in purchasing the truck and he had the trade-in vehicle. When a verbal agreement was reached between the man I was speaking to and me, he and my son spoke on the phone to discuss credit approval. Credit was approved and the Toyota representative personally called my son and asked him if he was ready to come to StL to sign the papers to take ownership of the truck, based on the verbal agreement between him and me. Of course my son was excited and got on the road. I arrived at the dealership before my son and was informed that the person I had spent the morning talking to was not a salesman (I had not been told that on the phone). I was assigned to a salesperson. I looked at the truck we had discussed. Except for it having tires that would need to be replaced before winter, I was pleased. My son arrived, test drove the truck, and was also pleased. We had to spend some time reviewing details of the original verbal agreement since I was not with the person I had spoken to on the phone, but we again agreed on the amount agreed to on the phone. The salesperson checked several times with her sales manager for approval and got approval every time. Finally sitting with the finance manager; it’s almost 6 pm by now The monthly payment on the contract he presented was a bit higher than the agreed upon amount. He went back to the sales manager one last time (so we thought at the moment). When he returned, he quickly got on the computer and informed us that the monthly payment had gone from 346/month to 376/month because “someone” had miscalculated the value of the truck we were about to purchase. We were naturally shocked and upset and so he asked us if we’d like to speak to the sales manager personally which we definitely wanted to do. The sales manager began showing us figures on his computer, trying to explain why he says they can no longer sell us the truck at the agreed upon price. I couldn’t even process those details at that point because I was dumbfounded that this was happening. My son asked the sales manager one more time if he would honor the agreement we had come to. The sales manager said “no” because they would lose money on the deal and we had no choice at that point except to leave. Not once were we even offered an apology for the time involved and for my son’s wasted trip from KC. I have left a total of 4 voice messages in an attempt to reach someone that the sales manager at this Toyota dealership answers to; 3 of those messages were with the executive offices. No one has returned my calls. That’s why I decided to write this review. My son and I are both deeply disappointed that this experience has left us with a negative impression of the integrity of not only Bommarito Toyota, but also how Bommarito executives handle customer dissatisfaction since no one has returned my calls. I understand that people make mistakes, but I also believe in trusting a person’s word. My word is the same as my handshake which is the same as a signed agreement. I expect the same from others. This deal could have, and should have, been honored. I would also like to stress that the only person who we feel let us down was the sales manager and the executives who did not return my calls. Everyone else we spoke to at Bommarito Toyota was courteous, professional, honest, fair, and dealt with us with the utmost integrity. More

Horrible used car purchase experience I was in the market for a used SUV and found what seemed to be a great option at Bommarito. It was a 2016 Toyota Highlander, 25xxx miles and it was a I was in the market for a used SUV and found what seemed to be a great option at Bommarito. It was a 2016 Toyota Highlander, 25xxx miles and it was a certified vehicle, which was a bonus. My sales person seemed great, however he was busy and seemed rushed. Not one single feature of the car was reviewed with me, so i have no idea how half of the things work other than trial and error. It was a rainy day when i purchased my vehicle and i was told by my sales person i could just bring my vehicle back the next day to have it detailed. Just bring it in, i was told. Yea right. I showed up the next day, mid morning, with my "we owe" document indicating that they were to detail the car and fix a chip in the windshield. The service department acted like they had NO clue what to do and i was passed from person to person. Begrudgingly they took my car, i went over in detail the things that needed to be cleaned or dealt with - the service person even made notes on my "we owe" page. I was told that the window repair person wasn't in that day and i would need to make an appointment through my sales person to get that taken care of. I was told it would be an hour or so since i didn't have an appointment. I went to the waiting area, luckily i had work to keep me occupied, and i waited. And waited. THREE + HOURS LATER not a single person had touched base with me. I went to the service department to find out where my car was, they had no clue. Someone went to the detailing dept to check on it and said they found it but weren't sure if it was ready. After about 15 minutes, a service person basically threw my keys on the counter and said "here it is". I went out to my vehicle and basically they ran it through the car wash, threw in the floor mats and called it good. EVERY SINGLE THING i specifically asked to be taken care of (grass/dirt on the carpets, sticky residue in the trunk area, dirty windows, etc) was still there. They even installed the rubber floor mats OVER the dirt/grass. One of the floor mats even had what appeared to be sticky spilled soda on it! I was FUMING. Of course, my sales person wasn't in and when i went to the showroom to find someone to talk to there was literally no one around. I eventually found a random sales person to vent to and he promised he would have the sales manager call me back. NO ONE EVER CALLED. I had to call my sales person the next day, explain why i was so pissed off (3+ hour wait plus NO detailing being done + no windshield repair). He made an appointment for me to come back when he would be there and drop off the car, i was given a car to drive for the day so i didn't have to wait and eventually most things were addressed, but the lack of attention during the sales process and the horrible service experience definitely have turned me off. Also i still have a chip in my windshield...i was told it was "fixed", but you can still see it. (Supposedly i have a year warranty on it if it gets worse) But, seriously? Spend the $100 to put in a new windshield Bommarito. Thats ridiculous. Now, after driving the car for a few months...i hate it. The car shakes when braking at high speeds and there is a golf ball or something that is hidden somewhere inside the car...it rolls around with every turn. Wish me luck getting these things fixed. I had such a horrible experience to start with i dread taking it back. Definite buyers remorse on this one. More

Joe Krueger is the man! We were shopping for a new car for a couple of weeks. With tight schedules and budget, we did a ton of shopping and research online, found a deal from We were shopping for a new car for a couple of weeks. Every dealer I called practically laughed in my face, with the exception of one. I called Bommarito and was greeted by some dude named Joe Krueger who was quick to answer my questions, and when I asked about price, he put me on a brief hold, spoke with his manager, and then got back to me with an affirmative. So, we set a meeting for Monday morning (Labor Day), and we were actually late. When we showed up 45 minutes late, Joe was nothing but gracious: offering coffee, a test drive, and a prepared deal ready to sign. What more can a young couple ask for? After light negotiations, Joe walking an estimated nautical mile to satisfy our requests, and a quick financing setup, we were on our way. We were so pleased with working with Joe, that he actually gained an invite to our wedding the following week. If you’re looking for a dealer or a new car, there is none other than Joe Krueger and Bommarito Toyota. Thanks, Joe! More
