Experience at Bommarito started off nicely. Great communication before arriving at the dealership. Upon arrival things seemed to go downhill. I arrived for my scheduled appointment and it was like communication before arriving at the dealership. Upon arrival things seemed to go downhill. I arrived for my scheduled appointment and it was like the salesman was surprised and asked me again what I was interested in seeing. This was even though I sent a confirmation email to him letting him know I received the information on the scheduled appointment and provided four stock numbers of the cars I was interested in. After it was agreed upon for the price of the car and they took my trade-in for a test drive, the salesman came back and said they could get me into the car for X amount per month. Funny they came up with a number since I hadn’t even seen the finance department yet or filled out any paperwork. I did fall for the questions – how much do you owe and what are your monthly payments. Hindsight I know now not to answer those questions and to let them know I want the lowest “out the door” price! Financing took a LONG time. Over an hour waiting at the dealership and apparently the whole next day. Was told while at the dealership they found a good offer from a credit union but they wanted money down. I told them I was not willing to put any money down and if that was required then I would just keep my car as I did enjoy the car but thought something might be able to be worked out with the great rebates etc. Finance guy even came out and said the same thing – to which I repeated what I had said about keeping my car. Then the whole – well perhaps we need more time to look for more possibilities. Can we have the next day and we will be sure to call you with an update and I will come up on my day off to close the deal conversation. Heck the salesman even wrote it in his calendar book to call me with an update in the morning! I do monitor my credit report and know that there were only two inquires that were made and that was on the evening I was at the dealership. NONE were made the next day and neither of the ones on the report were from the credit union that was interested but wanted a down payment. Well that call never came – fortunately for ME! I should have been much more educated before going in and dealing with them and had my numbers I was comfortable and walk away when things felt uncomfortable. I know the dealership is out for themselves only and if the consumer doesn’t go in with the knowledge needed it can leave one feeling a lot overwhelmed. I could have afforded the payments presented and would have had to live with the bad choice had the deal gone through. I can’t say that I would refer anyone to Bommarito Ford for their car/truck needs. I didn't care for the games and felt uncomfortable that they could produce a monthly amount without knowing anything about my credit history etc. Perhaps in a few years when I am looking again I will give them another chance but go in with much more knowledge about what I want in the deal and not what is in their best interest. Update: A few weeks after visiting Bommarito FORD I visited Suntrup FORD West Port and was able to get a good deal at a great rate and at the monthly rate that I felt comfortable with. So shop around you never know. More
Went in for warrant paint work and it was not completed as promised.i had to go back to have them fix one particular area they worked on. I brought the imperfection up to Craig before leaving and he said I as promised.i had to go back to have them fix one particular area they worked on. I brought the imperfection up to Craig before leaving and he said I did not look at it, if it doesn't come out bring it back. The other paint repair was not completely fixed either, I had them put a drop-in bedliner and I didn't see the lack of quality repair in the same location in the bed until I had a Roll-in Lock cover put on. The outfitter company had to pull the drop-in bed liner to install. It gave me a chance to see that not all paint blisters, bubbles, or imperfections wher not all repaired. I will NOT return there to have my vehicle serviced. More
