Purchase and repairs-5 star Best in Brunswick! I was very happy with how my purchase ( Dodge Nitro) was handled and also what they gave me for my trade in! My Nitro had to have a repair to the oil I was very happy with how my purchase ( Dodge Nitro) was handled and also what they gave me for my trade in! My Nitro had to have a repair to the oil pan, I was treated as though I had made purchased out of the showroom, which I did not. I highly recommend Bodwell for purchase, trade, and service! Bad business I brought my car for a simple transmission flush on June 30th. I was very clear that I needed the car back by the end of the day Thursday, July 2nd, a I brought my car for a simple transmission flush on June 30th. I was very clear that I needed the car back by the end of the day Thursday, July 2nd, and if they couldn't complete it I would bring it elsewhere. They never called, and when I went to pick it up, it was locked in the garage. It took nine days before they were willing to give it back. No work was done, yet they charged me $100. On the 6th day the owner tried to blow me off. He kept making excuses that his employees needed to sign off on it before I could get it back, and that he couldn't. The reputable mechanic I brought my car to completed the work in a few hours for half the price Bodwell quoted me. More

They will rip you off! Stay away I purchased my 2010 dodge Avenger R/T from this dealership and will never again walk on their lot. My car broke down they had it for a week without ev I purchased my 2010 dodge Avenger R/T from this dealership and will never again walk on their lot. My car broke down they had it for a week without even looking at it. When they finally got around to it they said the computer needed updating. What!!! It seems no one has ever heard about this and then charged me $218.00. a few days later my car brakes down again same thing wouldn't start. Then it occurred to me my gas cap since I just filled it , same as the first time, sure enough my gas cap needed replacing , $22.00 . My car has been fine ever since . Then I take it back for a service and inspection they tell me I need brakes all the way around and 4 new tires. I told them I would have my husband take care of it and come back for the inspection . My husband takes my car to another service center and they tell him my brakes are fine but the tires weren't the best but they will pass inspection but should be replaced withen so many miles which was fine I had my winter tires put on early and got the inspection . I wiill never go back and will tell anyone who asks not to go there. They will lie to you and rip you off for your hard earned money . Never again !!!!! More
Repeat Service Customer, excellent shop!! We owned mini vans for over 20 years, and of all the service locations we've used, Bodwell is hands dovewn the best. We just had our 2008 T&C service We owned mini vans for over 20 years, and of all the service locations we've used, Bodwell is hands dovewn the best. We just had our 2008 T&C serviced after noting some significant shimmy and noise from the front end. It turned out to require front bearings, new front brakes, calipers, rotors, new rear cylinders, pads, and so forth... totally almost $2,000. After I contacted Chrysler directly, Bodwell and Chrysler were able to do the bearings at no charge, saving me over $600! Work was done right and the folks were 100% professional. We bought this van when our previous on developed electrical problems at about 10 years old... I didn't want to have to deal with what I suspected would be a recurring problem. Before trying to sell it, our daughter's car broke down completely, so I asked them to have look at the van's problem, and they found/fixed it for $65! Nearly 3 years later that van still runs great! I was a car mechanic in the late 70's and was very impressed with their ability too diagnose such a problem so quickly. They are highly recommended!! More
Found dealership prices in new vehicle to be much higher than other local dealerships. When owner found out I purchasing elsewhere he was rude and condescending. BODWELL'S DID NOT fix our car and charged $255. A local independent mechanic repaired the car for $65. Bodwell refused to accept responsibility. We almost dumped this car because Bodwells told us the car needed a new dash cluster and that Chrysler no longer serviced it. (By the way they charged us $790 just 4 years ago for a NEW DASH CLUSTER) Never did they offer a solution to this problem! They further wasted my time on the phone (never returning my calls) and finally in person. I wouldn't buy a car from BODWELL'S because their service and customer service departments are terrible. They are NOT the LL Bean of Maine car dealerships!!! They wouldn't even refund the labor portion of their bill. More
