I came in to test drive a bronco on Dec 7th. I was assigned a 19 year old salesperson who kept making up facts throughout the process, like once he realized I liked the eruption metallic green c I was assigned a 19 year old salesperson who kept making up facts throughout the process, like once he realized I liked the eruption metallic green color, he started going on about how the green color bronco is discontinued next year (which it isn't) and so on and on. Granted I didn't do my research thoroughly but the salesperson not knowing facts about the car they are selling is absurd. And then came the hard sell with the long blonde haired guy, his manager. Not only did he try to take advantage of the fact that I didn't come in prepared , and so pressuring me into buying the same day, he gave me a really crap deal in hindsight and tried pawning it off as the best deal I'm gonna get anywhere in the country. The worst part is he pulled a hard inquiry on my credit, when I explicitly told both of them, I didn't authorize them to do a hard inquiry. He did it anyway, saying it's a soft check and when I got an alert of a hard inquiry on my phone right away, he tried gaslighting me that it's a soft check, and that he knows what he's doing and he does this all the time. I've now corroborated with multiple credit monitoring services and they all show it as a hard inquiry. Why did you do a hard inquiry on my credit report ? I'm going to report this to Consumer bureaus and dispute the hard check on my credit. I'm open to suggestions on how to report this. To top it off, he was extremely rude at the end when he realized I wasn't gonna take the xxxxty deal, saying how I wasted 2 hours of their time and just being condescending throughout the process. Don't buy your car here and certainly avoid dealing with these 2 people. More
