There was quite a bit of miscommunication at Bob Smith Mini. After our conversation we worked out an amiable situation that made me happy and also helped them to understand what went wrong. It also helped them to work out a few glitches in their system. As it turns out it was a mistake that the email was sent to me. I have to say that Catherine Smith is a wonderful business woman. She admitted to their mistakes and listened attentively to my concerns. Catherine was open to hearing the truth and took steps to make me feel comfortable. I would be happy to recommend buying a car at Bob Smith Mini or BMW. Especially because of Catherine, who made every effort to correct the wrongs done. Of course it would be better if this never happened, but I am confident that nothing like that will happen again, not while Catherine Smith is at the helm. So go to Bob Smith BMW or Mini and rest assured that you will be taken care of. It is a family run business and they are very concerned that the customer is happy! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED DEALER. So many people ask me how I like my MINI. From now on I'll tell them I love it, but DO NOT buy one from Bob Smith MINI ,whatever you do. What a shame. They make MINI look very bad. Bob Smith MINI has the WORST customer service of any car dealership I've ever experienced, and that's saying a lot. I just returned from a 5-hour round-trip on a Saturday (I missed a day of work for the trip) to go for scheduled maintenance down in Calabasas, where I bought the car. When I got there, I was informed that my car was no longer under warranty (as of 6000 miles ago) and that the oil change I desperately needed would cost $280. That's $280! Does the oil have gold flakes in it or what?? They knew a week ago how far away I was coming from (I'd explained to the service dept), and it would have taken them two minutes to let me know I'd have to pay out of pocket. I'm getting a divorce, I'm a single mom, and starting a business, and thought I could count on the dealership where I bought my first-ever new car in 2007 to take care of me and let me know my warranty status. Shame on me for trusting them. Did they offer to change my oil anyway, since I'd come all that way to keep me safe and happy on my ride home? Nope. Were they polite and apologetic? Nope. All they did was offer me the $2500. "extended warranty"--cash only, effective five days from today. Gee, thanks. That's big of you. Don't be as foolish as I was! Stay away from Bob Smith unless you have TONS of extra time and money, and don't care about customer service. More

I have tried TWICE to buy a mini cooper from Bob Smith in Calabassas. I can say that the sales rep was completely unhelpful, did not return phone calls and was extremely condescending. She also acted like the fact that they promise a loaner if you buy a car from them is not only (a) not matched by other mini dealers but also (b) worth the THOUSANDS more that Bob Smith will charge for the car. I mean really. A rental would be cheaper. When I tried to negotiate AT ALL, I was told basically to sod off and good luck finding a better deal. Well, I did. By over $2000.00 AND a loaner. To cap off this horrible experience I recieved an insulting and hostile phone call from the sales girl after I had a bought a car elsewhere. I will NEVER bring my business to Bob Smith Mini and I will tell everyone I know what a horrendous experience I had there. More
****CONSUMERS BEWARE!!! *** I was recently ripped off at Bob Smith MINI. I called to get my window motor fixed on my MINI Cooper. I asked how much it would be, I was told by their Service advisor that it wo Bob Smith MINI. I called to get my window motor fixed on my MINI Cooper. I asked how much it would be, I was told by their Service advisor that it would be $185. Then all of a sudden I get an phone call from STeve, saying he had misquoted me and I ended up paying $385.99. Their service manager, Brain Howard, who goes by the name of "Howie" Never answered my phone called. Their service over there Sucks. I just wanted everybody to know. Greg Bebe More
