I brought my 2017 Kia Sedona (60k miles) to Schaumburg Kia for scheduled maintenance and diagnostics. I chose this dealership and drove far to get a better service quality. On the contrary, my experience was very disappointing. I was not greeted at my appointment and had to find a service manager myself. Promised updates on diagnostics and service completion never came; I had to call myself instead. At pickup, my service advisor was gone, and billing had to be handled by someone else. My requested diagnostics apparently were ignored, yet I still had to leave with the same engine problem plus a new issue — fluctuating idle. Under the hood, I found coolant leaks and scratches on trim, suggesting careless work. Overall, communication, diligence, and quality of service were seriously lacking. Got a call from Devarj (super nice guy - the 1-star review has nothing to do with him; it has to do with the dealership and the finance dept). He calls and says it was approved with $8000 down. I tell him I'm not putting $8,000 down and another dealer up the road approved me with ZERO down, and I'm looking for the same thing. He then calls me back and tells me they have me approved with ZERO down on the 2020 Ford Escape Hybrid (blue with 69K miles - open recall for replacement of the ENGINE BLOCK) or $1500 down on a 2023 Kia Sportage LX with 33K miles WITH A HUGE RIP IN THE DRIVERS SEAT. (that they offered to fix finally) I then picked out a 2023 Kia Sportage X-Line with 70K miles that was priced at $21K and they wanted $4,000 down.... however, the 2020 Escape with 69K miles that was priced $466 less than the Kia, was able to walk out the door at ZERO DOWN! I tell them no I'm not doing that. They offer to fix the seat in the Kia and then say $500 down only. NO! I'm not doing that either. My credit is in the high 600's and TWO other dealers I've been to have me approved with ZERO down. They then tell me... well you can take the 2020 Ford Escape for ZERO down... it only needs to go to Ford after I buy it to have THE ENTIRE ENGINE BLOCK REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY! They were trying to FORCE ME into buy something that needs a new engine, so they don't have to deal with it. I currently drive a 2019 Tesla Model 3 Performance that is PAID OFF, I'm not desperate to buy a car, I wanted a second car for the winter that was under CPO warranty. Not the problem child car that they can't sell. After everything is said and done, it's clear to me they just wanted to unload the Ford Escape and hoped with ZERO down ONLY on this one, that I would take it! I would avoid this place! They will do anything they can to force you into buying the car on the lot that nobody else wants. More

I leased the car, and very happy with it, but very unhappy with Tiffiny, whom I called Three times and left 3 messages. Because she never answered my messages, I called her boss Rickie Perez, whom I left 3 messages, and never got a call back from either one. I will never lease a car from a Bob Rohrman dealership again. I am a retired Chicago policeman, and on 80% Disability V.A. I will spared the word, of how I was treated. Please make sure that there bosses read this. More
I was visiting Chicago from out of town. My air conditioner went out and it was very hot. I also had a 7 hour drive back home. I took my car to this dealer. I had purchased the extended coverage but they said a rock went through the compressor so I wasn’t covered. They told me at the dealership I could submit a claim with my auto insurance. It was a Friday afternoon and I needed to get back home so I told them to go ahead with the repairs. It was almost $5500. My auto insurance is now saying it was not a rock. It should have been covered under warranty. My local Kia dealer is saying I got taken and it shouldn’t have cost me even half what I paid. I would never recommend this deal. They scammed me for thousands of dollars. I was out of state and had no other options. I will never buy another Kia and would not recommend anyone trusting this dealership. More
In 2023, Leased a 2024 kia k5 and on november 2024 took car in for an oil change and left the kia service and paid 93.00 approximatly for the oil change. About 30 mins later car went into a halt, alternato car in for an oil change and left the kia service and paid 93.00 approximatly for the oil change. About 30 mins later car went into a halt, alternator light and oil light came on and had a burning smell. Had to drive the car back very slow in traffic while car hesitating and stopping on the way because they did not have a tow truck ready. Once there and the car was checked they found out that whoever was working on my car did not put the oil cap back on securely and ALL the oil spilled everywhere under the hood so the engine did not have ANY OIL. Tried to get some kind of compensation or someone from Schaumburg Kia to rectify the damage that they caused to the car and putting my life at risk driving in busy traffic and they did NOT do anything but cleaned up the oil spill and offered 3 free oil changes on a lease that was less than 12 months before it ended. They still to this day did NOTHING to compensate or satisfy their customer for the damaged they themselves caused. That car's engine and all the components could be damaged and this was a brand new 2024 leased car that money was put down and paid for every month on time and at the time of the oil spill there was only about 5,600+ miles on the car so the car was still considered brand new. I would not trust schaumburg kia when it comes to taking care of their customers especially if they caused any damages to the car. I even had to pay for the oil changes which they should have been paying for and not after the oil spill that was caused by them. Bad business ethics and do NOT take care of their customers. More

My experience with Schaumburg Kia has been nothing but problematic and disappointing for the 3rd time in a row. I myself am an automotive technician at another dealer and completely surprised by the level problematic and disappointing for the 3rd time in a row. I myself am an automotive technician at another dealer and completely surprised by the level of incompetence and failures at this dealer. I’ll be sure to never return or recommend this dealer. I had dropped my car off overnight at the old location, was never made aware of the new location when I scheduled my appointment. I was told the car was finished. This is when the problems started. I had brought my car in for a transmission issue and some lights on. The lights were diagnosed however, I was charged an hour diagnosis for practically a code scan. This is the Third time in for the transmission issues. They said it could not be replicated; there was no offer to do a customer drive or inspect further. As this call was less then a few hours after I was told the car was checked in. The disappointment came because I have been here before with the same advisor and replicated the issue twice with different technicians on 2 separate occasions. There was nothing that could be done at that time, however the issue has gotten worse since. To add more insult to injury when I got my receipt, the mileage was the same. Leading me to believe this issue was never looked at all. Considering I paid nearly $200 for an hour of diagnosis, I’m sure this should have been looked at further. I paid and called to authorize overnight pick up. I was told it was ok and the key would be in a secure location. When I showed up to the dealer, old location, nobody was there however all the service department door were open, I looked for over 30 minutes over the entire property for my car. I even called 5 different associated number. Luckily I saw a couple employees from the Honda dealer next door who was helping me in finding out about the new location. When I had got to the new location I found my car locked, with no key in sight. I did see a finance manager locking the gates. I had asked if he could help me get my car. He said he doesn’t know there the keys are and couldn’t help me. He himself couldn’t even lock the gates because the lock was locked and he didn’t know where the key was kept. If this alone doesn’t paint the picture of the communication and management of this dealership I don’t know what does. I then called the next morning 2 times with no answer so I then called the main line to the service department. They shuttled me to the dealer and I was able to get my car. I was over 3 and 1/2 hours late to work because of this dealer’s incompetence. I’ve lost money from missed work and had to make up the lost time somehow. What a complete mess and disappointing experience. If there was any communication I would had not been late and missed my jobs expectations. I didn’t think It would be that hard for this dealer to meet theirs. More

This is by far and I mean by far the most honest ,transparent and world class experience I have ever had buying a vehicle. Man was he ever I have bought so many vehicles in my lifetime and never did I have a better understanding of the features and benefits that the Kia had that was far above the competition. What was amazing was the positive energy, and genuine happiness that the entire staff seem to have anyone that was in close proximity of me asked if I was taken care of and even though I replied that Dan was taking care of me they asked if I would like anything to drink while Dan was getting my vehicle. After I chose the model and trim based on all the knowledge shared by Dan and massive new car inventory that Bob Rohrman has, I was introduced to the Service manger and the General Sales manager. Ricki Perez who assured me that his staff has a common core belief that even though the sign on the door and his business card says Bob Rohrman it is me and every other customer that the staff works for. And that is before the sale, during the sale and forever after the sale and assured me that if I ever felt as though that was not happing to please let him know so that he can correct the issue and continue to strive for excellence. Wow ,Wow this is the Gm. First time ever has a Gm come out to speak to a potential customer I mean I have not even bought yet. I had experiences in the past were I had a complaint about a issue and would try to get a gm or owner to respond with no luck I. would get a automated email response with no follow up call. For this to happen meant a lot to me. When the Pricing was presented it was in a professional ,honest and transparent manner that it was a easy decision to do business with Dan ,.. Mr. Perez and the world class staff at Bob Rohrman Kia. A few days later I received a call from Dan making sure i was completely satisfied and also said if i was not comfortable working the features that he would come out to me if there was anything I was not sure on how to work on my new vehicle. Will forever be a customer of this organization and the professional caring culture that it has Thank you for everything !!!!! More
DO NOT PURCHASE A CAR HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE SOLD A LEMON, HAVE YOUR CREDIT DESTROYED AND BE IGNORED BY STAFF/MANAGEMENT. THIS HAS BEEN THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! I was sold a car with engine failure LEMON, HAVE YOUR CREDIT DESTROYED AND BE IGNORED BY STAFF/MANAGEMENT. THIS HAS BEEN THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! I was sold a car with engine failure and have been jacked around regarding my refund and loan cancelation. I had the car in my possession for ONLY 2 DAYS! I did not receive a call from anyone durning whole ordeal with them. No one called to notify me of the problems. I had to reach out to them MULTIPLE TIMES. The service department informed me of the cars engine failure and said the sales team is working on a resolution. Aftes many days straight of calling and being transferred to wrong departments and leaving voice-mails, i still had no one contacting me. Almost two weeks to the date of purchase I walked into the store to see the sales managers eating girl scout cookies and chatting about golf behind the desk. Not once did a Manger even try to speak to me. I demanded a full refund and my loan to be canceled. 1 week had went by with many calls and visits to kia and even to the ford corporate office I finally received my refund check. Now two weeks have gone by and they still won't cancel my loan. Absolutely ridiculous and utterly disappointing. More
