Two Week Sunroof Repair Noticed sunroof leaking after a recent storm. My car was in for service to repair the leak back in April, I was told it was a clogged drain. There was Noticed sunroof leaking after a recent storm. My car was in for service to repair the leak back in April, I was told it was a clogged drain. There was absolutely no change in the leak after said repair. Made another appointment and was informed there was an issue with the seal on the sunroof. Scheduled the repair for a week when I knew I would be out of town. Informed the service staff (Jillian, Robert, Meagen) several times when I would be returning, and that I had a business appointment early on the Monday Morning I was scheduled to pick the car up. Dropped the car off on a Tuesday and returned to pick it up on the following Monday. My car was sent over to Collision Works right down the street for the repairs, apparently there were some issues that VW was aware of on Friday, but no attempt was mad to reach out to me before the weekend. I showed up Monday Morning anticipating my car would be ready to go. The work had not even been initiated at this time and no attempt at communication was made by Allen Samuels VW. I understand that unforeseen things happen with repairs, but the level of communication was severely lacking. The communication did not improve moving forward either. I could never get clear answers on what exactly was going on with my vehicle or when it might be finished. Spent multiple calls on hold for more than ten minutes. Service department reps would promise to call me back at certain times with information about my car, but would never follow through. I had to beg and plead for a loaner or for Allen Samuels to provide a rental, which they never did. After several days of this I called Collision Works myself and spoke with the general manager. She immediately made me aware of what was going on and made arrangements for a rental the next morning. I could go on with the saga, but will conclude by saying that this was an epic customer service fail and if not for the fact that I've had decent experiences prior to this with the same service department, I would not have selected yes to recommending this service center. One other note, my sunroof lost some functionality. I can no longer just press the button once quickly to open or close the sunroof all the way. More
