Unnecessary service I brought my 2008 Subaru in with a service engine light. I was charged $130 for an estimate which totalled $7800. The car was valued at $3500. I took I brought my 2008 Subaru in with a service engine light. I was charged $130 for an estimate which totalled $7800. The car was valued at $3500. I took the car to a third party who charged me a total of $1129 which included a timing belt and all new serpentine belts, preventive water pump replacement and four new tires. Warranty work Brandon in service was very helpful. My water pump was going out just as we were headed out of town for vacation. I have the extended warranty and was able to get a loaner car for the time it took to get it all fixed up. He also helped me after by gathering all my electronic stuff I left in the glove box. More
Unsatisfied with the Service Department Called to get a quote for 60K maintenance on 2013 Impreza. Told it was the "big one" and would be around $700. Weren't sure what all they would do Called to get a quote for 60K maintenance on 2013 Impreza. Told it was the "big one" and would be around $700. Weren't sure what all they would do but included switching out the main drive belt. Dropped the car off and was told it would be $950 but I was saving $125 by changing air and cabin filters myself for a total of $825. Told they weren't going to switch out the drive belt but would change the plugs and "really go through the car.". No charge for recall on valve springs. Four days later received call that "finishing touches" we're being put on the car and it was good to go for $825. Received call this morning on my way to pick up the car for another $1000 they wanted to do that they found in "final inspection". Pretty obvious when a car is up on the rack that it needs a left axle shaft assembly. Seriously doubt it was the "final inspection" when they found it. More
