The best experience I've had at a car dealership, ever. (This is my seventh car purchase, btw.) Steve and Madeline were attentive and prompt in their responses. They made the process of buying very smooth and actually enjoyable. The price for the car was better than fair, and so was the offer on my trade-in. Bob Maxey of Howell will be my first stop the next time I'm in the market for a vehicle. More
I This year I purchased a 2020 Ford Fusion from Maxey Ford. Previously, I had taken a 2018 Ford Fusion to Maxey for service. Because they did such a good job on my leased vehicle, I decided to purch Ford. Previously, I had taken a 2018 Ford Fusion to Maxey for service. There was no pressure or overselling. The service technicians were courteous and efficient. More

Made an appointment, online for 9/27. Came in and was told that my appt. was 10/1. Showed them 3 text messages, from them, confirming 9/27 date. They started telling me I was wrong! Then they tried to di told that my appt. was 10/1. Showed them 3 text messages, from them, confirming 9/27 date. They started telling me I was wrong! Then they tried to dissuade me, telling me that the brakes replacement would take 2 - 3 hours (it doesn't; I've been a mechanic and taking calipers/rotors off and replacing the rotors and pads is not that long a job). Every time I go in there, I have to wait a minute or so before anyone looks up from their screen and even acknowledges me, and then it's a "can I help you?" Of course you can help me; that's what I'm here for; to get customer paid repairs on my Explorer! Their staff has little to no training on customer appreciation! I don't expect a big fat kiss when I walk in the door, but at least an acknowledgement and some sense of appreciation for choosing their business would be appropriate. The service manager, Dan Retherford, mumbles to the service advisor, "it's just a brake job," and then disappears, without even acknowledging me (and he knows me, as we had a conversation about his apathetic staff a couple of years ago)! Then the advisor comes into the waiting room, after us sitting in there fifteen minutes, and tell us that the oil change is almost done, when I didn't even come in for an oil change, at which point he bolts out of the room! Before he bolts out he tells me, again, that a brake job is two to three hours (and that's only the rear brakes)! I'm sensitive to customer appreciation issues, perhaps because I worked for Apple for over ten years and was always appreciative of customers, whether they bought an iPhone case or a computer, phone, etc. If I created a problem, I took responsibility for it, and didn't blame the customer, which this dealer did, essentially telling me that I was wrong and then trying to dissuade me from waiting, which I had noted on the appointment time. This is the first 'major' repair on the Explorer, as it's been reliable, but it's had way too many recalls (just got another notice of a potential problem with the engine cooling fan!), so I haven't been in for customer pay work until 9/27/21, and I bought it (and another new Fusion) there isn 2015, from a salesman who no longer works there, and that experience was great. Their lackadaisical attitude towards customers and their obvious attempt to get me to leave resulted in exactly that; I had them bring me the car, and will take it somewhere else to get it fixed. If they give me an appointment time and then act like I'm a bother, I won't bother them anymore! More
