We had a good experience overall when buying our used car. The only reason we rated most areas good, was for the sales manager. He had no personality and tried to get us to finance through Honda after we car. The only reason we rated most areas good, was for the sales manager. Freddy was very helpful. I asked whether they had any Honda Elements in my price range. Alas, not. They hold their value quite well. After a very poor experience at Wilsonville, who was unwilling to budge from MSRP, we returned to Beaverton Honda, stuck to our guns, and got a hair under invoice price on our new Fit. We first worked with Rachel who showed us the cars, and she was fun and down to earth and real, refreshingly not salesman-like at all. She was the reason we came back, in fact. Then Matt did the price negotiating with us, and he was smart and level headed. He did his job and tried to get us to pay more, of course, but in the end he was a pleasure to work with, and very knowledgeable. (On our first visit, we met with Greg, another numbers guy, and he was certainly nice, but a little overwhelmingly energetic and aggressive for our taste.) Overall, this was a good first car buying experience. Not nearly as painful as expected, nor as painful as Wilsonville Honda. More
