Our experience at Bob Lanphere's Beaverton Honda was terrible. Their sales manager was insulting, talked down to us and acted as if we were stupid. He thought he was going to walk all over us. Surprise terrible. Their sales manager was insulting, talked down to us and acted as if we were stupid. He thought he was going to walk all over us. Surprise. The experience started in the lot with salesman talking to us. We discussed our needs. He showed us some cars and we even took a test drive. My wife made her selection and we started to fill out the paperwork. We had a pre-approved loan with a local establishment at 2.7%. Salesman said it was no problem. Let me state here that my wife is a manager in a title company and knows forms, numbers and money. I am a retired systems analysis and worked in the financial sector for 30 plus years . The salesman introduce his boss (as described to us) and things went down hill from there. This so called boss had papers that had interest rate of .9% and a monthly payment of $100.00 more then the pre-approved loan of 2.7%. My wife started to ask question about what was on the paper and things went south from there. He acted like she was stupid, talked down to her, lied through his teeth as to what was on the paper. With appropiate comments from my wife for the way she was treated, the sale process was ended and any dealings with us. Who the does he think he is. We may be old but we are not stupid. The operations manager tried to smooth things over but it was far beyond any repair. To make things worse, the operations manager and salesman looked to me to intervene on there behalf. You got to be kidding. Never been treated so bad in my life. My wifes parting remark was that she liked the car and was going to buy one but not here. I listed all sales managers so they can discuss how they all should treat people. I don't remember who he was but they know. More
My husband and I are from Washington and we were looking for a specific used vehicle for me. After my disappointing search in Washington, we looked to our neighbor state, Oregon, to find a good, used car in for a specific used vehicle for me. After my disappointing search in Washington, we looked to our neighbor state, Oregon, to find a good, used car in our budget with an affordable monthly rate. I contacted the Internet Sales Mgr., Amanda B., via internet and received pleasant and informative contact right away. We then made an appt. to drive down the following day to view and test drive the car I had found on their website. We were referred to another Mgr who introduced us to our sales person Myke Thompson. Myke was fantastic from the get go. Polite, real, genuine & personable.....he did not come on strong or pushy in the least. Before test driving he made smart recommendations for me to adjust mirrors, rear view mirrors, get acquainted with the vehicle before test driving. No other salesperson had done that before...so it was a 'catered to' experience that was well received. Even though it was a Honda dealership, my vehicle of interest was a used Jeep Grand Cherokee and Myke was very knowledgeable about the Jeep, which was helpful. Myke provided us an extra spare key for our vehicle and a cable for our ipod. Car was washed and cleaned, filled up with gas, mats back in place and waiting for us after our purchase..Myke saw us out and made sure we had all of our answers we needed. Everyone went the extra mile, no pun intended! It was quite fun driving my new 'used' car back to Washington that evening. Beaverton Honda dealership facilities are clean, updated, stylish and well appointed meeting/negotiating spaces, large TV, pleasant music, beverages, coffee, etc. It was very comfortable there while we needed to wait for our great selling experience was finished. Don Holden was fantastic, hard working and patient with us; he didn't want us to drive our rental car back! Don let me ring their 'sold' bell after our purchase and all the staff applauds and cheers...pretty funny. Although we live the state of Washington, I will now include Oregon's Beaverton Honda in my searches for future vehicle purchases. More
We went to Beaverton Honda to look inside the cars and possibly drive one. Cliff Pfenning came to assist us. During the entire visit, he was more interested in filling out his questionnaire checklist ra possibly drive one. Cliff Pfenning came to assist us. During the entire visit, he was more interested in filling out his questionnaire checklist rather than answering our questions. When am I going to buy? What is my price range? Have I considered Odysseys? Come on Cliff, I just want to look inside the car. Note to Beaverton Honda - have your sales people put down their checklists and just listen to what the customer wants. We live about 5 minutes from Beaverton Honda, but this experience was so bad that we went to T&C Honda in Gladstone, about 45 minutes farther away, and ended up buying a new Honda from them the next week. T&C salespeople should give classes to Beaverton Honda salespeople - they actually listened to what the customer wanted and tried to answer all the customer's questions without being overly pushy or aggressive. Other salespeople at Beaverton Honda may be OK, but based on my experience with Cliff, we won't be going back and we won't be recommending it to friends. More
We had a very positive car buying experience at Beaverton Honda. Jake was a lot of fun to work with. He made the experience relaxing as a car buying experience can be. He was very patient and helpful with Honda. Jake was a lot of fun to work with. He made the experience relaxing as a car buying experience can be. He was very patient and helpful with questions and most of all was honest if he did or did not know something. Everybody that was a part of buying our new car was friendly and kind. This was our 3rd car that we bought from Beaverton Honda and we appreciate the work that they do to make the process a positive experience. Thank you Jake and Thank you to the rest of the crew that worked with us. Maureen More

My fiance and I had a wonderful experience at Beaverton Honda with Jakov!I had been keeping my eye out online for vehicles and spotted a Toyota Camry that brought me into this dealership. I informed Jakov Honda with Jakov!I had been keeping my eye out online for vehicles and spotted a Toyota Camry that brought me into this dealership. I informed Jakov what I was interested in, also if he could show us to other vehicles around the same price on their lot. After Showing us the Camry, he already had in mind other vehicles to show us in our tight budget! He is quite aware of what they offer on their lot and for what price. Did not waste time by searching the lot, and knew where to direct us for the next couple of sedans in our price range! I bought a newer Accord than the Toyota I was looking at; with lower miles, and around the same price I was wanting to spend! So Happy! Buying a vehicle with a limited budget can be very stressful, but Jakov and his finance guy Danny made it quite stress free. The information of rates, loans, warranties, and paperwork get so confusing, but they explained everything very thoroughly and down to our level of understanding. Both made it a fun educational buying experience with humor and kindness! "Talk about great service!" Both had wonderful positive attitudes, even way late in the work shift. While my fiance and I were doing our finances with Danny; Jakov stayed late just to say bye. It was even a Friday night! By the feel of it; I believe Danny stayed late for us too, doing that paperwork with us! Thanks guys! More
My wife and I visited this dealership at about 7pm (I believe it was a Sunday), and there were no other customers that we noticed. We were approached by Oscar, who told us to go ahead and look around, an believe it was a Sunday), and there were no other customers that we noticed. We were approached by Oscar, who told us to go ahead and look around, and to let him know if we had any questions. We were surprised that he really did not probe much as to what we were in the market for. As we were looking at a vehicle on the showroom floor, Oscar showed up and asked if we had any questions. We let him know that we wanted to test drive an Accord and a CR-V. During both test drives, Oscar did little to try to sell us on either vehicle. In fact he spent pretty much all of his time playing on his phone. In short, he seemed wholly disinterested in selling us a vehicle. After many test drives at multiple dealerships, my wife and I were torn between a Honda Accord and a Mazda6. My wife went back to Beaverton Honda to try out the Accord one more time. From the moment my wife met Sheridan she felt she was being bullied. My wife told Sheridan that a friend of hers would be showing up soon and that they would like to test drive the Accord. Sheridan "bugged" her a couple of times as to when her friend was going to show up. Again, this salesman did not seem very interested in selling my wife a vehicle; it was more like he could not wait for her to leave. When Sheridan brought the car around for the test drive, he mentioned that he would drive it off the lot and then pull over and change places with my wife so she could drive. When my wife asked why (this did not happen on our previous test drive with Oscar), Sheridan said there had been a lot of accidents with customers making a left when exiting the dealership. My wife explained that she would be making a right, and then she continued to describe her intended route. Sheridan said that he wanted her to take a particular route rather than the one my wife chose. My wife explained that she wanted to take her route so she could test the car under certain conditions. Sheridan let out an audible sigh and suggested that my fill out a form that would permit her and her friend to test drive the car without him. My wife jumped at the opportunity. After the test drive, she decided that the Honda Accord was the car she wanted. We, however, did not purchase the Accord at Beaverton Honda; we drove out of our way to Wilsonville Honda where we were treated not only fairly, but were made to feel welcome, comfortable, and that our business was truly appreciated. I have since heard from three other people that I know who say they experienced an equally poor level of service at Beaverton Honda. The folks at Beaverton Honda need to realize that their potential customers have a choice, and that the performance of their sales staff reflects not only upon their dealership, but on Honda as a company. Sales associate was young and new, but knew his stuff and was very friendly, courteous, and personable. He deserves to have further opportunities as they present themselves with the dealership! Our sal was very friendly, courteous, and personable. He deserves to have further opportunities as they present themselves with the dealership! Our sales associate was no exception to the rule. ALL others were very professional, friendly, fun, and a pleasure to do business with. It has been a while since I have done business with a dealer and had a bad prior experience. This experience confirmed that there are still some very good ones out there. Would recommend THIS dealership to anyone in the market for a new car, truck, or SUV. Sincerely, -- Dave Rose More
We purchased a 2007 335i BMW and found that after we purchased the car we had trouble with the oil level. Finally we brought the car to your service area and Jonah, Andy, and Richard went above and bey purchased the car we had trouble with the oil level. Finally we brought the car to your service area and Jonah, Andy, and Richard went above and beyond to make sure that the oil leak was not only fixed but covered by you folks as well as giving us a rental car. I am so happy with the service we received and especially Jonah. He had never met us in the past but was kind, understanding, and has great customer service skills. Thank you again Jonah and Beaverton Honda for making sure we were taken care of, Thank you again Mike and Lori Lane More
