My wife and I both took time off work to take the van down and leave it overnight but when we showed up we were told that they don't actually service DVD players. You would think the service people would know what services they actually offer... but that's not the case. As if the gross incompetence of this department wasn't enough, I was not offered any apology or anything at all to make up for this colossal waste of time other than a suggestion to call Car Toys. In my business, if I make a mistake I make up for it 10x over. Not so with this company. They have no remorse when it comes to their mistakes. I have not felt more like a number is years and will definitely not be coming back. More
Easy, no pressure, very responsive salesman Mid-May 2019 I was looking to buy a used car and I headed out to Beaverton where all the car dealers are. My first stop was at Bob Lanphere's Beaverto Mid-May 2019 I was looking to buy a used car and I headed out to Beaverton where all the car dealers are. My first stop was at Bob Lanphere's Beaverton Honda and I met JC (John Lam) at the door. He helped me identify a few cars in my price range and then we went to check them out. The CarFax report was in the car, along with their own maintenance record, and I never felt that anything was being hidden from me. There was a Toyota that I liked and the dealership gave me a very good impression. Under the hood, the engine was very clean. The interior was very clean and spotless as well. The trunk was even clean. The battery looked in great condition with good connections. I liked the car but we left to continue shopping around. The experience at other dealers did not hold up. There were cars with the airbag lights on, dirty inside, old wipers that smeared the windshield, reports on their CarFax that were glossed over as "nothing serious" without any more information. One car had a battery with completely corroded connections and the associate did not seem to care at all. The salespeople at other dealers did not impress me either. It definitely felt more like the classic image of a desperate car salesman trying to make up what I wanted to hear to try to get me to buy. Told one thing at first, to excuse away problems, then told another thing by the end, to try to get me to buy. Bob Lanphere's Beaverton Honda already did the work needed on the Toyota before putting it out to sell. These other dealers were trying to get me to buy on the promise that they would fix it for me before I pick it up. No thanks. I went back to Bob Lanphere's Beaverton Honda and bought my 2007 Toyota Corolla. I have not had any problems with it except that I need my brake pads replaced. JC made the entire experience very easy. There was no pressure to upsell, although he did offer what was available to me if I was interested. The whole process was rather quick, about an hour. There was a very nice waiting area with couches, tv, a cafe, and bathrooms so a longer wait would have been alright with me. I received the title at about 5 weeks after my purchase and everything was correct. The only downside is that after I bought the car my phone blew up with 100+ spam calls in a short period of time. I was getting up to 5 calls a day. It was a company trying to extend my limited warranty. I answered one time and told them I was not interested and to never call me again, but it persisted. Presently it is about 2 months out and they seem to have stopped calling me. After all the stress of anticipating the car buying process I'm very thankful I happened upon JC at Beaverton Honda and ended up with a car that is safe for me to drive. Thanks! More
rude and sarcastic I leased a Honda back in May at Beaverton Honda. My experience was wonderful! My first months bill I paid at the dealership to the finance department which was no problem and they were wonderful however I was driving by there today and decided to just stop in and pay since I was right there anyways. The two men that greeted me at the door asked how they could help me and I explained I’m here to make my car payment. They started laughing and rolling their eyes. One of the guys said what do you think this is a financial department this is a dealership! I understand if that is the rule but there is no need for sarcasm and rudeness. I suggest if you do not have friendly customer service at the front door to greet then you should find somebody else to do that job. I will not be back to this dealership More
