Bad experience with oil change The experienced technician forgot to put a gasket on the oil filter & most of the oil leaked out of the engine & we had to have the vehicle towed back The experienced technician forgot to put a gasket on the oil filter & most of the oil leaked out of the engine & we had to have the vehicle towed back . We were promised we would be compensated for the mistake/oil change. So far we have not received a check for the cost of the oil change. We are thankful that it did not do permanent damage to our vehicle. We also waited over 4 hours for a call back on the status of our vehicle being repaired & had to call back. More
Oil change for leased truck I like being able to schedule all my appointments with the my Chevy app on my phone. Makes it easy and reminds me when the appointment is close. Not impressed I made an appointment for work done as quoted a week or so earlier. Every time I called I had to start over and tell whomever was on the other end eve I made an appointment for work done as quoted a week or so earlier. Every time I called I had to start over and tell whomever was on the other end every detail, which I think I shouldn’t have if it was documented in some sort of notes on my car. I dropped off my car and got a loaner, which was nice, but I was told my car would be ready by the end of the day. I didn’t get any phone calls or anything, so I called at 4:30. The person who was handling my car experience or whatever it’s called was away from the phone, and she told me that no one else would be able to tell me what’s going on. I didn’t get a call back until 5, where I was told that they didn’t have the part they needed and was keeping my car an additional day. I had the appointment made for almost a week, you’re telling me that you couldn’t have gotten the part in advance? My tires had to be ordered and they were there, why couldn’t the part for my transmission coolant line? And if you’re going to keep my car an additional day, wouldn’t it make sense to call me and let me know? I was not prepared to not have my car for the night. I have a child and his car seat was in my car, as I didn’t expect to have to keep it he loaner another night. It was a significant inconvenience to find another car seat in time to pick up my child. When I had the car quoted, they used my wheel locks to remove the tire. They never put the tool back inside the box, so when I had someone else do the work on the car (for half the cost, since 6 hours of labor is ridiculous), they had to spend an additional hour getting my tires off, drilling them, and damaging my rims. If they put the tool back, that would have been eliminated. Every time I have come to Bob Johnson, my experience has declined more and more. I’m disappointed in this, as I would expect a dealership as large as Bob Johnson to be better. I don’t get call backs as I asked. I requested when I made the appointment for my transmission line to have someone contact me about scheduling a detail. No one ever called back. I’m going to stop taking my car there for service, and will go to another dealership. More

What ever happened to “the customer is always right”mentali? Rec’d an email from onstar/gm about a potential engine starting problem. Despite having an appointment and a copy of the email I was told by the service manager that there wasn’t anything to check as there weren’t any warning lights on. After some pressure from me he said they would look into it while checking the front end shimmy that I had noticed and they would work the vehicle into the next day schedule. FOUR DAYS later (had to wait for a certain tech to drive it for the shimmy and there was Sunday in there) I call and lam told there were several service codes that were found related to the battery. Imagine that!!! Just what the email tried to tell them!! Oh and did I mention not once did they initiate a phone call to inform me of what was going on. After I called on the 4th day I’m told the vehicle will be ready later that day after they replace the battery. Go to pick it up and SURPRISE it’s NOT ready. They didn’t have a battery and had to get one the next day!!! Really?!!and no one thought to notify me?!?! After FIVE days and much inconvenience and not even a hint of an apology I got my vehicle back. An acknowledgment of their part in making this a less than stellar experience and an apology for not giving the email message any credibility would have gone far in redeeming our respect of them. More
Regarding. I was ripped off $3000 worth I did not see the reply to my first review. Question, If the car was in such bad shape why fix it, why pass inspection, I could've used that money t I did not see the reply to my first review. Question, If the car was in such bad shape why fix it, why pass inspection, I could've used that money towards a new car..Those service people are supposed to be experienced and knowledgeable in car maintenance. The service person told me the flame is rusted through, any person that went to high school would tell you rust does not corrode a car flame in 6wks. That rust was there when I brought the car in for service. They wanted to make some money before they tell me to take the car to the junk yard which I did. Bob Johnson Chevrolet not every customer who walks into your business is an ATM machine shame on you. More
