Dissatisfied with Service Dept Initially I scheduled an appointment to take my Chevrolet Equinox in to be inspected as well as to have the check engine light resolved. I scheduled the appointment for the first appointment Tuesday morning. I dropped my cave off on Monday evening and spent 2 hours waiting for a rental and I was given a Chevrolet Silverado extended cab. My car was not looked at until Thursday. I have only had the vehicle, purchased used from Bob Johnson, for 1 year. I was initially quoted $922 to “fix everything”. Having had the car for only a year and spending the extra money to extend my warranty, I let the Service Advisor know that I thought this price was unacceptable, after another day had gone by, I was quoted $472+tax. I agreed, the Service Advisor had me pick up my car with a 10 day Inspection Sticker. I was advised to drive it to ensure the check engine light didn’t come back on and to bring it in and it would be a “quick in and out”. I drove from my work in Brockport all the way into Greece after work during rush hour traffic. I explained to the person at the counter that i was told that my car “just needed to be plugged in because the inspection was already done and only failed because of the check engine light and have a sticker put on”. He advised that there was 1 other car in front of mine being worked on. I sat in the waiting room for close to 2 hours with no update on my vehicle. Not only did I spend $500 to repair my vehicle, I also needed to put tires on it in December which was about $500 and I needed to fuel the rental vehicle I was given for a week. I spent $75-$100 in fuel for the rental truck. I likely will not be returning to Bob Johnson to service or purchase another vehicle. I am extremely disappointed in their inability to work within their scheduled appointment times and their lack of communication. Unfortunately, this was only the experience I had with the Service Department and doesn’t even begin to explain how awful the buying process was. More

great customer service Great Customer service called me and made sure I was aware of cost , warranty coverage and length of time to be fixed . Had to bring car back when the Great Customer service called me and made sure I was aware of cost , warranty coverage and length of time to be fixed . Had to bring car back when the issue wasn’t completely resolved.Service team willing to do what was needed to be done to ensure car was fixed and working properly. I would definitely recommend to friends and family. The rental car option is a great bonus especially because I was going to be without my car for a week. More

Got a call a short while after dropping it off and was told what the problem was and that it should be fixed very shortly and would get another call when it was ready. Within an hour I received a call and it was all set. Very happy with the service I received. More

Replacement of side mirror I would not go back to Bob Johnson again. I called to get a quote to get a side mirror on my 2016 Malibu replaced. I was told they could order the part and install it for me no problem. A week went by and I did not hear back from the person that I was dealing with, so I called and was told that the part hadn't even been ordered yet. He stated that he was ordering it today and that it would have to be sent out to be painted. A week and a half went by and I did not hear from him again, so I called and was told the part was still on order, but it should be in soon. Then, my wife gave birth to our daughter so I was not able to follow up with the dealership. About a week later, I called because I still had not heard back and it had been almost a month. I was then told that the mirror was in and ready to be installed, and he told me to come in the next morning. I came in and dropped my car off, and was told it would be an hour wait or so. After waiting for over an hour, the employee came out to the waiting room and informed me that the mirror was never sent out to be painted. At this point, it had been over A MONTH since I was told that the part had been ordered. So I was told that they could install the mirror and send the cap out to be painted, and he would contact me the next day at the latest to schedule when I would come in to get it finished. 2 days went by and I did not hear anything from this employee. So I went in Monday morning and spoke to the manager. He was able to locate the part and get it installed for me. The manager was apologetic and got the problem resolved. In spite of this, I will never give Bob Johnson my business again. I have never had such terrible customer service in my life, and will be looking to take my car elsewhere in the future. More
