My car was rear-ended in a parking lot while I was out of the vehicle. Bob Jeannotte Buick-GMC Body Shop did an excellent job restoring my vehicle to like-new condition. Their customer service was also ex of the vehicle. Bob Jeannotte Buick-GMC Body Shop did an excellent job restoring my vehicle to like-new condition. Their customer service was also excellent. I had probably the worst service experience possible. The service staff should be ashamed of themselves and possibly fired! I brought my vehicle in for a stuck brake caliper- I described the issue being a burning smell and measured temperature of 400-500 degrees coming from the rear driver-side brake assembly. Textbook case of stuck caliper piston. Margaret had her technician do a diagnosis and called me to say there is nothing wrong with the caliper, but the brakes are worn and should be replaced. I agreed with hesitation- I didn't think worn pads would cause my brakes to burn up but I trusted the "professionals" here. After paying the bloated price of $660 for this job, I nearly started a fire on the 5 minute drive home when my car engine struggled to accelerate and my brake temperature reached nearly 600 degrees. The burning smell was horrendous. I brought it back and was instantly gaslighted and told the 600 degrees was "normal" and they had done a "quick google search". I tried to explain that no, that is certainly not normal as I demonstrated the temperatures on the other sides and they were all 80-100 degrees. Had to leave it there another night to be fixed. Yes, they eventually took SOME of the price off of the initial repair but I had to practically beg for it- and they never admitted they were wrong. I should've only paid my $100 deductible as the caliper was covered under warranty, but instead I paid a total of $500 for work that didn't need to be done (pads and rotors). When I asked who did the test drive I didn't get an answer. They should probably be fired- I have no idea how they wouldn't check the brakes were operating properly after the work was done. You should be ASHAMED of yourselves. Absolutely embarrassing knowledge of brakes and extremely unprofessional- not listening to the customer when I clearly guided you what the problem was, and gaslighting me that I was wrong and there was no issue with the brakes. You need to rethink your process on how you confirm work is completed properly. I am beyond disappointed. More
