Had routine check up on 9000 mi, 2023 4Runner. The customer service the past two years bringing my vehicle in for oil changes has never been great, but when I purchased and paid cash in full for it in September of 2022, I also purchased the service vehicle in for oil changes has never been great, but when I purchased and paid cash in full for it in September of 2022, I also purchased the service program, so I reluctantly continue to bring the vehicle here for routine service. Honestly, my personal family mechanic and also the Firestone where I take my other older vehicle both have much better customer service. However, yesterday was a new low with Bob Howard. I brought my Rav 4 in for the 20,000 mile service and asked Haley what it entails. Waited for my vehicle in the dealership and found out they were taking it through a car wash with brushes. I was not informed that this was about to be done. It has never been washed at Bob Howard before when I have brought it in for service. I have a 700 dollar professional ceramic coating over the paint. Car washes with brushes damage the vehicle's paint and of all places, a car dealership SHOULD KNOW THIS. I have never one time taken my vehicle through a car wash with brushes. I either hand wash it with Chemical Guys products or run through a touchless wash. Michael, I think that was the little guy's name, told me that his 80,000 dollar vehicle that he personally owns is regularly taken through car washes with brushes. In other words, he did not want to apologize to me and wanted to be argumentative and sarcastic instead. Why would I care what you do with your personal vehicle buddy????? I care about what you just did to MY vehicle!! He also made excuses for Haley and told me about a personal problem she has and said so it's ok that she had poor customer service and didn't inform me about the car wash. Bud, that's not my problem. My problem is you all are always rude and now also sarcastic and have not taken proper care of my vehicle. He also told me about an old man who regularly gets his vehicle serviced there who does not want it washed and so puts a sign on the vehicle to let them know this. Ok, so I will make sure from now on to put a large sign on the outside of the Rav 4 and another one taped to the steering wheel explaining that I do not want my vehicle run through a brush wash. Apparently that is the only way for them to understand. You all really are the worst. Like you actually care though right, lol. Wouldn't recommend you to anyone. More
