My radio would not work directly after I put a new battery in my car. The radio would go in and out and only turn on from the wheel buttons but my screen/navigation buttons would not work at all nor t battery in my car. The radio would go in and out and only turn on from the wheel buttons but my screen/navigation buttons would not work at all nor the volume buttons by the screen The service department told me my radio needed to be replaced with estimate of $5,700.00 I told the service adviser multiple online forums from google stated that there is a fix for radio after battery has been replaced for Toyota SUV’s and it stated to put the parking brake on and put car in reverse for 5 minutes. They failed to try this and I picked my car up. When I got home I tried the fix of putting parking break on and putting car in reverse for 5 minutes and now my radio and screen work. Disappointed that the mechanic either did not try this or was not communicated with appropriately. Toyota service as a whole should know of this issue and not misdiagnose my car radio as being broken when it in fact there is obviously an issue with “radio malfunction after replacing battery” that needs to be addressed and documented More

Service team gave my 4runner 100% their best efforts to get me back on the road when I was stuck out of state. They also kept the service price more than fair. My Highlander was having a meltdown of epic proportions, blowing relay fuses a few weeks after replacement (when this happens, a dealership is your only option, our mechanic says). Completely frustrated wi blowing relay fuses a few weeks after replacement (when this happens, a dealership is your only option, our mechanic says). Completely frustrated with the first Toyota service department I tried in OKC, I walked into Bob Howard Toyota the next day without an appointment, feeling defeated and needing help quickly since my electrical system was failing and the power steering had been the first to disable. Riley Basford, the service advisor who greeted me, was absolute GOLD. She “got it” right away and said they would work me in, and that’s what technician Tabitha Doutey did. Both were professional, knowledgeable, reassuring and communicative as they figured out and resolved the issue (without charging me for the first few hours of labor, either). When I need dealership service for my Highlander again, I’ll request Riley and Tabitha and hope their supervisors know how fortunate they are to have them both at BH. More
