I informed this dealership that the faults associated, i. e., “collision mitigation systems,” were randomly showing in the information display. This occurred randomly, always in dry climates and with moisture or resent rain. As an electronics engineer, I’m familiar with the principles of electronics. More importantly, I’m a former auto mechanic. After taking my car in, I was told “your brake like is cracked, so moisture is causing an electrical problem.” First indication of an inexperienced or ignorant ASE “certified” technician. I asked for the codes for which I didn’t receive. Instead I received a quote fir $1,000 fir repair of the brake light and other miscellaneous items. Needless to say, I was furious. I picked up the vehicle and took home. The next few days, no rain and hot (90-100 degrees). Yep, then the alarms flashed again and went away after restarting the car. These faults are NOT due to moisture. Total incompetence and arrogance. There are current lawsuits associated with this issue, which I’ll join in legal action. I have this dealership opportunity to redeem itself, but unfortunately pride and arrogance dictated their “diagnosis.” Please, I pray someone fix this issue. Otherwise the Honda brand and dealership itself will see the result if capitalism. More
