My truck broke down in the middle of nowhere. Past experience with Roadside assistance has been horrible. I did not have time to screw with that mess so I paid for my own towing and had it taken to de experience with Roadside assistance has been horrible. I did not have time to screw with that mess so I paid for my own towing and had it taken to dealership. Rented a vehicle from a rental company and continued on my way on vacation. The following day I got a call from the dealership and they said the wiring harness was bad and under warranty. They said it would be done the next day. I said I will be back in town on Wednesday (it was Thursday) and want it ready when I get back. They said it will be ready at 7 am on Wednesday. Well Wednesday rolls around I turn in the rental I have and show up to get my truck at 830 am and guess what it is not done. No phone call nothing. Getting a loaner is near impossible at this place. Every time you have to give them insurance ect. I do understand the need for these items but you would think they could keep it from the time before which in my case was 2 weeks. So I leave mad and without a vehicle to drive. Had someone their had the curtesy to call me I could have kept the rental I was already driving. Thanks a lot. Every time I go to this dealership it is a painful experience. I really like the GMC product line but I may have to look into a ford next time around. Every experience I have had with GMC and Chevrolet has been a bad one. Everything was under warranty but I still had over $1,000.00 in cost in tow bill and rental for a week so really what did I save. More

Very poor communication throughout. They had my car for a week before they even diagnosed my car. Once I agreed with the repairs, they raised the price by $1,900. Stopped in to view a new GMC, upgrading to the larger crew cab. The sales consultant was lack luster, I have never been to a dealership where I was ready to make a deal and have a sales consultant not se crew cab. The sales consultant was lack luster, I have never been to a dealership where I was ready to make a deal and have a sales consultant not seem interested on moving forward. At that point I knew it was a waste of my time and moved on. The sales consultant wanted to explain options on dealer trade rather than make a deal. Save yourself the hassle, shop somewhere else. Oil change and tire rotation. I received an email in advance of my scheduled maintenance as a reminder. I live out of town and arrived about 25 minutes early. Despite the early arrival, my car was taken immediately. I was in and out in about 30 minutes. Nick was very courteous to both me and my husband. The only negative comment I have is when I went to pay the bill. The gal at the desk did not smile or greet me when I approached her. I spoke to her first and all she said is OK. More

Review of A/C problems My visit on 8-9-18 for oil change and tire rotation was fine. While waiting for my car I reviewed all the work done on my car since purchase 5-13-10. My visit on 8-9-18 for oil change and tire rotation was fine. While waiting for my car I reviewed all the work done on my car since purchase 5-13-10. I have spent $8,713.25 during that time which included new tires, steering gear replacement, air conditioner work and various other servicing, all done at Bob Brown. What stands out is the cost of air conditioner work. $4121.62 was spent on A/C and it would have been more by probably $1000 except it was so soon after previous servicing that there was no charge. The last cost was $1959.77 on 5-7-18. I am hoping that this is the last time because if it fails again, I will be done with Bob Brown GMC Buick. Regular servicing has been fine, A/C not. More

Speedy oil change! Have a 2005 Suburban Z71 and needed an oil change! I had made an appointment and was there right on time! Another dealer told me it would take 1 hour Have a 2005 Suburban Z71 and needed an oil change! I had made an appointment and was there right on time! Another dealer told me it would take 1 hour to get the oil changed BUT from the time I pulled into Bob Brown's till I pulled out was only 41 minutes! I would say 20 minutes for the oil change 5 minutes for the wash and 10 to 12 to pay the bill and I was on my way! Good service is here at Bob Brown's in Ankeny! Keep up the good work guys! More
