Purchased an 07 Ford F-250 Diesel. Had nothing but issues. The saleman said it was Studded and bulletproof, which I found out was a lie, Definitely know it’s a lie now cause it has a blown gasket. G issues. The saleman said it was Studded and bulletproof, which I found out was a lie, Definitely know it’s a lie now cause it has a blown gasket. Granted this isn’t my Daily driver, so it’s sets most of the time. Finally took it on a long ride and it started overheating. After replacing most obvious causes of overheating, it all leads back to Blown Head Gasket. But the saleman did say it has a new radiator. But my issues started the night i drove it home. Didn’t drive it 10 miles and rear glass shatter. (they paid for a glass but i paid to have it installed) The underneath exhaust was crushed, had to have that replaced. Tie rod on passenger side had to be replaced. All of this before inspection Cause it wouldn’t of passed. They selling cars without looking them over! More
Employees TELL you to GO to DIFFERENT STATE!!!! Talked to Trent, very nice guy, to get information about possibly getting a vehicle for my mother, I told him that she did not have any credit. He ass Talked to Trent, very nice guy, to get information about possibly getting a vehicle for my mother, I told him that she did not have any credit. He assured me that would not be a problem. He called me back stating that he had gotten her approved, for a 2015 Mazda CX-5 that had the sticker price of $13,900 and that the payments would be about $300. We could not get in yesterday, so we went to look at the vehicle and get more information on the financing today they had gotten her approved for. When we got there, Tent was not in and we were sat with some other guy. He first tells us that the vehicle in question had been sold, but they would find another one that the financier would finance. I asked what the interest rate would be and he told me "It depends on the vehicle." I am an accountant, your interest rate depends on your credit report and how much the financier has as the going rate. So he said it would be a little bit to see what they had that the financier would finance. We went outside to wait, and he came over apologizing for the wait. I again asked about the interest rate and he told me that because mom had no credit that the interest rate would be a little on the high side. I told him I understood that, but I still wanted to know the interest rate. He said he would get it. He came out and said he was pulling up a car for us to look at. So he pulls up in a Nissan and tells us to check it out. We sit in it and he comes back and says, No not that one, we have an SUV to look at. So he pulls up in a 2015 Mazda CX-5, when I asked him the price he told me $14,995. I asked and he said it was the same car that Trent offered us, but this guy stated it was more expensive. I asked again about the Interest rate. He went inside and came back out and said that the payments would be about $379. So now the price has increased from $13,900 to $14,995 and the payments had increased from $300 to almost $400. And still I do not have the interest rate. So I asked again, and he finally told me that it was a 20% interest rate. I stated that it was too high. He stated that it was because she had not had any credit. I stated they my brother works at a dealership in Oklahoma and he told us that the even with no credit the interest rate should not be more that 12%. The sales man then stated in the rudest tone, "Then go get a car from Oklahoma!" And walked off muttering about wasting his time. If he would have told me the interest rate the first time I asked, no ones time would have been wasted. So according to Blackwell's employees everyone should shop at CLASSIC LAWTON CHEVROLET 8308 N.W. Cache Road Lawton OK 73505 US More
Awful Experience, should not have trusted them with my info! I had an awful experience at Blackwell! I would recommend doing your car shopping anywhere else, and I wouldn't trust them with any of your informatio I had an awful experience at Blackwell! I would recommend doing your car shopping anywhere else, and I wouldn't trust them with any of your information. I test drove an Escape at Blackwell and was still on the fence about the decision to purchase so I asked the salesman, Trent, to give me a couple of days to think it over and I would get back to him. Trent texted later and offered for me to use the car for the next day while I was deciding. I went back to pick up the car and explained to him that I didn't know if it was what I wanted and that I take good care of my credit score so I did not want my credit run until I had made a final decision on a purchase. He said he understood, but I explained how much I cared about my credit score a dozen more times before signing and handing over the paper to take the car for the day to test drive. He told me they had to have the paper in order for me to leave with the car so that they had something on file, but it would NOT affect my credit in any way. Long story short, they ran a hard credit check on my credit and my Transunion score dropped a point. Blackwell is now listed on my credit report and will be haunting me until January of 2021! More
Where car sales men get their reputation !! My personal experience with this place is I would never ever buy a car from this place or recommend my worst enemy to go near here ... Let me tell you My personal experience with this place is I would never ever buy a car from this place or recommend my worst enemy to go near here ... Let me tell you my experience with this rudely ran establishment. I have a friend who had cash to buy a car but ask me if I would mind taking them looking as their car had been totalled. So we stopped into look at the Blackwell Motors and we got all the smiley face bull crap you get from the typical snake oil salesmen named Dan Tinsley who proceeded to brag and bull crap to us, over and over again, how many years he has worked there but we were willing to look at what they had regardless of the ear bending bull crap we had to listen to... Every car he has is way over priced worn out high mileage dogs, priced so high, who in their right mind would want them ... So Dan the bragging salesmen finds out my friend has cash and he seems to me to be drooling and goes and gets a couple peices of crap to show her and she tells him he has not at all peaked her interest .... So then we proceed to tell him thanks for his time and headed for the door .... BUT then Dan say" hey wait let me show you this car" that he said was a good car and he just wanted us to see it... So we said ok and figured maybe they wanted to make a sale instead of trying to break it off in someones xxx by selling them the normal crap...So here he comes with another overpriced peice of crap and tells her a price and my friends response was it's to much and it's not really what she is looking for.... But Dan insist he can probably adjust the price down $2000 after 20 minutes of trying to convince her to finance that $2000 dollars in a loan... So he already knew he was trying to hose her with a loan she didn't need to buy this peice of crap.. Dan then says just take it for a ride ... So to be polite we did .... As we are driving along listening to more of Dan's sales Bull crap and how comfortable he is in the back seat of this rattle trap and telling my friend how he was impressed that she seems to be a good driver and he bet that like himself she learned early to drive... Then my friend told Dan she didn't know if the car would have the power and quality she needed ... So Dan says give it some gas " it's got a lot of pep"... so she excellerated as he suggested but within safety reasons but told him the front wheel felt like the rotors we're bad .... I was in the passenger seat and I could tell there was know way she was going to buy this peice of crap... Well low and behold she tells him exactly what I was thinking she was going to say about the car...... Then Smiling bull crapping Dan gets all huffy and say she is missing a heck of a deal... So we say thank you for your time and proceed to leave.... As I am getting in my car to go to another location here comes the owner accusing ME of hotroding his cars and that he was going to call the police and cussing loudly in front of others ... I didn't even drive the car I was in the passenger seat (the owner appears to be a complete public dumb xxx) that owns this place, his public display of insane rants were that of a a frickin nut job ...I ask him what he was talking about and he is screaming he personally knows the police and that I should leave and never come back ... WELL BELIEVE ME YOU NUT JOB ME NOR ANYONE I KNOW WILL !!! .... One hour later she bought a beautiful car with her cash at another used car dealer who had a inventory of good used cars and a much better reputation than Blackwell Motors based on other people who have had similar reviews ...... NEVER GO HERE !!! More
Thrown off lot after not purchasing 2010 Focus Today I went into Blackwell with cash. Explained that I was just looking. Because I am picky and wanted to get the most for my money. Gave the Salesma Today I went into Blackwell with cash. Explained that I was just looking. Because I am picky and wanted to get the most for my money. Gave the Salesman my list and they showed me 2 vehicles that they had. 1 of which I test drove with the Salesman and my Boyfriend in tow. After driving the vehicle i knew it wasn't going to be for me so I told the Salesman I wasn't interested and told my Boyfriend let's leave. At which point Kevin Blackwell after we where in our car leaving started cussing my Boyfriend who was a passenger on the test drive. And stated that he was going to call the police on him.my boyfriend didn't even drive the car. He was obviously ticked off we didn't buy that crappy car. Btw. Bought a 2013 Nissan in St.Louis. Today without the drama from these idiots. More
Bad vehicle, hard time getting ahold of someone, couldn't fi If I could give them a zero, I would. We bought a 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan from them on October 1st. They were nice enough to let us give them $700 of If I could give them a zero, I would. We bought a 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan from them on October 1st. They were nice enough to let us give them $700 of our $2,000 the day we got it and then the other $1,300 of it 3 weeks later. However, on our way home with the new van, I realized that the van had extreme difficulties making it up hills. Then, on October 2nd (yes, the very next day) the van had problems starting. It would try to start but not start. After a few times trying, the van finally started. We called our salesmen to find out how we could get those things fixed. After almost a week of being promised a return phone call we FINALLY got through and took the van back to be looked at on October 11th. We got our van back on October 27th or 28th and when their mechanic went to start it for us and it did the exact same thing it was doing before we took it to them. They told us to go ahead and take it home and see how it acted. Well, from repeatedly having to try to start it, the battery died. My 3 boys missed trick or treating because the van wouldn't start. We attempted numerous times to call with no return calls. We then called the finance company to file a complaint since the van was still not fixed. We told them we didn't want it. It was having too many issues, they weren't being fixed, and the van was too expensive to be having all these problems. The next day they came out and replaced my battery and tried to dismiss the issues with acceleration with it being a van and the size of motor. The starting issue was still not fixed and was taking more than 5 minutes to get started. We refused to pay the remaining $1300 until the van was fixed and we had a title (after more than 45 days we still did not have a title). The last straw was when I went out to start the van, after 6 minutes of trying to start it, it started, and instantly smelled very strongly of burning wires. When we opened the hood there was smoke coming from under the hood. I was very upset about how we were being strung along and the lack of a safe, reliable vehicle so I called and yelled at a lady there. It was very immature of me and I now regret it and did write her an apology note. Since we still were not having luck with getting the van fixed we called and filed another complaint with the finance company and again told them we didn't want this vehicle, it had too many problems. Finally, on November 21st we got a call from the Blackwell office stating they were going to buy our van back. It was a huge relief that I didn't have to worry about paying for a van that was going to cost a fortune to fix. We already put some of our money into it trying to figure out what was wrong with it. We just found out today that they will not give us our $700 back because it has been longer than 45 days since we purchased the vehicle. With as many problems as we had with the vehicle and with them as far as calling back or just keeping us updated I feel this is ridiculous. I guess I should just be happy we didn't give them the other $1300. There were a few other problems that I think are pretty bad as well but this was the biggest problem we had. I will never recommend Blackwell and will readily tell them of all the problems they gave us. $700 is nothing to a dealership but is a big deal to people with 4 kids who work their butts off for what they have. Now we have to save another $700 to have our $2000 down payment for a vehicle at a different dealership. More
