ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS VEHICLES, I used all my saving at 18 just for it to break down 32 DAYS LATER, they don’t care what they sell you they just want the money. as a young girl I should’ve known better but 18 just for it to break down 32 DAYS LATER, they don’t care what they sell you they just want the money. as a young girl I should’ve known better but also shouldn’t be taken advantage of. I still have 5 grand on the vehicle to pay off and it’s been sitting ever since it broke down cause it cost almost as much of the payoff just to FIX IT. This is ridiculous this place needs to be shut down or ran differently. I’ll always be thankful to have a car but it being broken doesn’t really help. This has seriously been one of the biggest life lessons at such a young age but such a hard situation. More
I am writing to address a deeply concerning and inappropriate incident that occurred in relation to my car purchase at Billy Ballew in Dawsonville, Ga dealership. My intention is to bring to your inappropriate incident that occurred in relation to my car purchase at Billy Ballew in Dawsonville, Ga dealership. My intention is to bring to your attention the unprofessional and deceptive conduct I experienced, which I believe reflects poorly on your establishment's values and practices. As a recap, I visited your dealership with specific requirements for my vehicle purchase, including a maximum APR threshold and the inclusion of full Gap coverage. Regrettably, these requirements were not upheld, and I was left deeply dissatisfied with my experience. However, what transpired afterward has left me both shocked and disappointed. After 2 months an individual from Billy Ballew dealership drove a considerable distance of two hours, in the middle of the night, to surreptitiously place the necessary paperwork in my car. While I acknowledge the effort made to rectify the situation, this action raises serious concerns about the transparency, honesty, and ethical standards of your dealership. Rather than addressing the issue through open communication, the dealership opted for a secretive and unprofessional approach, causing further distress and discomfort for me as a customer. This incident undermines the trust I had initially placed in your dealership and calls into question the integrity of your business practices. I would get into the disgusting things the finance manager done to me but we will save that for court. More
Read the whole thing, trust me. In the beginning, there was a 2015 Chevy Sonic. I expressed extreme interest and intent in the vehicle, explaining I intended to come back the next morning for the car. The MANAGER at the woodstock location was aware of said intent, and sold the vehicle within thirty minutes of opening the following day. Quite upset I spoke with another Bill Holt representative by the name of Tim. At first they were great! Tim and Ben at Easy Pay Autos in Dawsonville, GA showed me what I thought to be decent options to compare to the car I had lost, though lacking in luxury upgrades they assured me the cars were in tip top condition for their age and "used" status. So they "tried to help me out" by "offering better cars at lower prices" regarding the down payment, in order to make up for the mishap with the Chevy Sonic I'd lost out on. Which was fantastic of them! Or was it? Lets start with the car. Between a 2012 Ford Focus and a Chevy, I ended up leaving with a 2011 Chevy Cruze. Both required 2500 down. Within two weeks the Chevy had an engine light, stabilitrak light, and a loud squealing noise erupting from the wheel. So I reached out to Ben! No big deal. He offered to have it fixed, which was not in the contract, it was sold "as is", as long as I took it to his "real mechanic" whatever that means. I was fine with it, though, and found it awfully kind of him to go out of his way to fix this car even though he didn't have to. He gave me a number to call to set up an appointment. I did. I spoke with Ron, who was very rude and told me more or less that I was wrong, that they'd NEVER pay for a repair on a car. To shorten this, Ben took care of it and the car made it into the shop in Marietta. Upon arrival, I was asked to wait, and I did for almost 6 hours (missing work), until they said they'd have to give me a loaner. The older man at the desk said "if you dont bring this car back tomorrow I'll have to come get it" which felt vaguely threatening and demeaning, but I laughed it off and promised to bring it back. After missing MORE work to drive the loaner back to said vaguely threatening man, I arrived to a nonchalant "oh, it's not ready" it occurred to me that in my stress to bring back the loaner in time I didn't call. While some may interpret this as my fault, the man was very forward in his wording about the loaner and it was the first loaner I'd ever had, so I just did as I was told. As you can imagine I was frustrated. I asked due to gas costs (it was not a short drive), about meeting and exchanging vehicles at the location nearest me. He agreed on said request saying he'd verify it and let me know. So I kept the loaner until Saturday, and revived a call saying "I'm the only one at work, can you please pick up your car..." After 40 dollars already in gas in this far less fuel economic vehicle, I was being GUILT TRIPPED to come and get my car. I am not exaggerating any of this. So I dropped the bare minimum gas in the loaner and drove out there AGAIN. I received my car back mostly fixed, excluding the squealing tire which I was told "wasn't detrimental to the function of the vehicle and therefore not approved". I specifically asked about the squealing and was told it would be taken care of, but fed up with the rude older gentleman and the whole process, I just agreed and left with my car. IT DOESN'T END THERE. I paid my first payment, all was well. Ben approached me on the subject of referrals saying "should you refer somebody we will reduce your NEXT payment by $100". I happened to know a friend who was in need of a car, and referred her. She bought a car. The 2012 Ford Focus that I was also shown and offered. Why does that matter because he charged her 1800 down payment. Helping me out, my xxx. They couldve cared less I didn't get the Chevy Sonic. And I should have known that, but this was my first time buying a car and I was mostly alone. Not only that, the NEXT bill wasn't discounted the following one was, no big deal except it was because Ben conveniently wasn't in town when my bill was due, and Leslie the lady in charge of payments knew nothing of it. I was told to WAIT for a call from her as late as Monday ("when ben was supposed to return"), regarding my payment. Six days after my second, supposed to be discounted, bill was due. Now. I went to the hospital at the out of pocket expense of 1300. I had a severe abscess on my right tonsil. I refuse as much treatment as possible to lower costs but it still wiped me. My immediate thought was, Ben's a decent human. Seeing as how the bill was to be discounted surely, like most companies, they could move the payment back a few days? It was only 60 bucks anyways, right? That's like a third of my biweekly payment! Should be no issue! No. After returning home from the hospital on Friday, I called Leslie who, upon hearing my request shut me down very quickly, saying that they couldn't do that. When I requested how much time I did have to pay it, she wouldn't answer me. So I asked to postpone this conversation until Monday "when Ben returned". OH, but he was conveniently available now. Okay, whatever. So, I was connected to him via transfer. Where upon explaining the situation I was told, more or less, that that wasn't his problem, that I should have paid the bill in full three days ago and dealt with the discount later (sounds fishy to me, seeing as this would be the second postponing of the discount on their part). Upon ACCIDENTALLY saying the "F" word out of frustration, keep in mind fresh out of 1300, 102 fever, taking 4 horse pills a day plus tylenol for pain, after getting an abscess on my tonsil removed, HE RAISED HIS VOICE AT ME. Now I don't know what business anywhere doesnt allow brief extensions on payments, this is my first experience with that, but I sure as xxxx don't know ANY company where you are YELLED AT by their staff. With my migraine, and level of stress I hung up. I honestly cried I felt so attacked. I borrowed money to make a payment, seeing as nobody would give me a final deadline as to when the car would be "shut off". Some side notes: I had my friend with me the day I signed the paperwork as a witness. She and I can both attest to the fact that the following words left Ben's mouth when I requested information on late payments: "I mean, if you don't pay for the car for like two months, or we think you're stealing it, we'll cut it off." On the phone he tried to say he'd never said that but she was there. I was then told the repo time was 30 days something that was NOT MADE CLEAR AT ALL. The question below that states "During your most recent vehicle purchase, how did the finance manager work with you in arranging financing and reviewing vehicle protection products?" I said other, because none applied. What I did learn about Bill Holt Auto/ Easy Pay Auto, is they are VERY UNCLEAR on the payment terms throughout the whole process. Even after purchase, I wasn't told the actual number of days (even though i was told months originally) I'd have to pay before my car shut off. I was also never told the repo time limit, and thirty days is RIDICULOUSLY short. The only honest thing I was told is I'd lease to own for 36 months 162 biweekly. And I'm beginning to doubt that. Customer service: ? I should never be yelled at by an employee for any reason. Also both the manager in Woodstock and Ron in Marietta were rude. Quality of Work: ??? I gave this three stars because i feel like they shouldve fixed the bearing too, also because two days after receiving it back my radio screen cuts on and off. These are all things I was never told about. Friendliness: ? I won't deny the friendliness of Ben in fixing my car, but the "lowered down payment" for a car that has so much wrong with it was a lie considering two weeks later he gave my friend 1800, a far better deal. Price: ??? For a place with no credit checks the price is reasonable enough unless your paying and additional 700 down payment hence the three stars. More
