I purchased my Honda from this dealership in 2007. I have had the van serviced here since the purchase. I cannot say enough good things about the people that I deal with in this location. I know and have worked with several of the service people by now, but the typical protocol is for me to be contacted by the same representative...and mine is Joanne. First off, her last name is Honesty...how can you go wrong there?! But I am always impressed by the way she takes care of every concern that I have...little noises get checked for me, the regular services are explained and I count on her to give me the accurate and up front assessment of the vehicle's needs. She has a good understanding of the workings of the engine and the way things ought to be done. I can call with questions and I am always greeted in a way that makes me feel valued as a customer. Beyond that, I always get a follow up email from the service manager asking if everything was done to my satisfaction. In the 8 years that I have been going to this dealership, I have never found anything to complain about. And, they never keep me waiting too long. I so appreciate the service that I receive, that I drive for 30 minutes to reach this dealership, even though there are closer ones to my home. They gave us a good deal on the new car and reasonable price for the trade-in car. The deal closed quickly, it saved time for both the sellers and buyers. Before I say anything else, I want to commend Alfonso for his friendliness and efforts to be courteous to me. Not much of a talker and we didn't really connect, but that's not a knock on him. This review is not reflective of our engagement really at all. It IS directed at the complete lack of courtesy and customer service I was shown once the old "bait-and-switch" technique was used to bully me into buying a car (the bully in this case being Mr. Ali S.). Since it has been a couple of weeks since my experience there, most of which I have blocked out in favor of the awesome experience I just had buying a car at another dealership, I will spare the foggy details and get right down to the key points: 1. If Bill Page Honda values customer service so much, I wish someone would explain to me why Ali, who Alfonso introduced me to after we started negotiating, felt that it was appropriate to pressure me into a sale of a car that, once I spoke to Ali, I wasn't really interested in at all. 2. If you must pressure someone into buying a car, at least pressure them in a nice way? Is that possible? I was basically told that the dealership was closing and they were locking the doors, so I was pretty much wasting THEIR time if I wasn't planning on buying the car that minute. Never mind that my time is valuable, too, and that I have other dealerships to visit (which I informed Ali of once he started using his age-old sales tactics). 3. This line: "Well, you're NOT gonna find a nicer car at this price." That's a lie. There are hundreds of cars just like this little tin can of a 2008 Honda Fit you're selling at this inflated price, regardless of whether the deal you advertised is going on next weekend or not (which I will address in my next point). And when I informed him, about 15 minutes after I had already decided I wanted to get out of this dealership as fast as possible, that I was OK walking away from a "good deal" on a car if it wasn't the right car for me, he looked incredulous. How could I not want a car from Bill Page Honda??? And how could a woman possibly know what she wants and be able to stand up for it?? I should be so privileged and get out of my tower! 4. Ali, addressing the email I was made aware of that advertised a weekend-only sale that would eliminate the dealer processing fee from the price of any pre-owned car: "Well... I don't know how you found THIS because this sale was advertised a month ago" ...even though the sale wasn't actually over until that day. He communicated that I was lucky that they would honor it. Me? Lucky that they were knocking $400 off this overpriced go-cart? Again, I should be so privileged! I truly felt I was being lectured more than encouraged and supported. I'm not saying I need to be hugged and begged to buy a car, but I would like to be treated with a little more respect. Ali S. made me feel like a gullible, dumb woman who shouldn't be out off her leash alone trying to make big, frivolous purchases without a man at her side. It seems like Bill Page can be a nice place for people who are buying brand new cars, but I can't say I'm too sure about pre-owned. If you must visit Bill Page, AVOID Ali S. if you care at all to maintain dignity and confidence about your car buying research. More
This was my first experience at this dealership since their remodeling, so I was a little confused. I went inside and was immediately and warmly greeted by Tyrone, who kindly directed me to Arturo. Despite the fact that I arrived an hour before service was to end for the day, Arturo managed to ensure that I would receive service. I really appreciated that because lately my schedule has been extremely busy and I don't know when I would have been able to get a chance to bring my vehicle to this service. Arturo recommended several additional services but he did not pressure me. I was expecting to be waiting a long time, but my car was serviced quickly. While waiting, I ran into Warfe Issue, the salesman from whom I purchased my vehicle. As usual, he was glad to see me and advised the service department to make sure to take care of me. Overall, I had an extremely positive experience and I highly recommend Bill Page Honda's Service Department. More
As one begins the arduous journey of searching for a car you try and identify what it is that you are looking for. After examining all of the normal parameters such as gas mileage, style, costs, etc. it oft you try and identify what it is that you are looking for. After examining all of the normal parameters such as gas mileage, style, costs, etc. it often comes down to intangibles such as the quality of attention you receive while within the business center. We bought our first Honda in 2003. After walking through numerous Honda locations in the northern Virginia area we felt that the salespeople who waited on us were distant and really did not care if we purchased a vehicle from them or not. It was quite late in the evening when we happened to stop at Bill Page Honda. We were immediately met by Carlos Granados. Carlos did not make us feel like he was giving us a normal salesman "rush", but danced with us by talking to us about various options and processes and then giving us the time to absorb what he just said and ask questions. Never did he make us feel that our questions were not important or meaningless. During this time we also met with Fernando Lobo who worked with us on the purchase. We purchased a 2003 Honda Odyssey that we still own to this day. This Odyssey now has 243,000 miles with most parts still being original. Based on the service that Carlos and Fernando provided us we have never forgotten that experience and talk fondly about Carlos all the time. While Carlos and Fernando were great we also noticed that the atmosphere in the Bill Page Honda showroom made you feel like you were part of the family. We just decided to purchase a new vehicle, and based on our past experience with Carlos and the Honda product, we decided to again, purchase a Honda product. We did not live close to Bill Page when we made our first purchase and have since moved further away. With that being the case we decided to look at a showroom closer to us. We spent no more that 20 minutes on the lot , looked at each other, and said lets go see Carlos. When we arrived at Bill Page, Carlos was not there. Fortunately, that allowed us to meet Syed Hussain. Syed immediately made us feel at ease and exhibited a number of the qualities that made us love working with Carlos. Syed immediately put us in the drivers seat by allowing us to go through a detailed explanation of our situation and state exactly what we were looking for. Again, that family feeling was there with Syed and the showroom people were as pleasant as ever. We met with Carlos shortly after that, and between Carlos and Syed we were able to navigate through some issues to purchase a new vehicle. I told Carlos in 2003 and again here in 2014 that we would never purchase a Honda from anyplace but Bill Page - It really is a great experience. More
