I went to have my window regulator replaced and to find out why my car wasnt shifting properly from 2-3 gear. Money was not an issue, I just wanted my car repaired. Dean is the assistant service manager who was very deceptive, he put a defective part in my car and didnt tell me. He didnt return my calls. Once I picked my car up and notice the defective part, I called and asked if he would find out from the mechanic if it were defective. He didnt return my call. When I did get him on the phone, he was very conflicting in what he said. I dont trust this dealership and will never return. More
I have been taking my 2009 Volvo to Bill Kidd's service Dept. since I purchased the car in April of 2009. At that time Wayne Cernik told me that Bob Garrish would be my service rep. Bob has alway service Dept. since I purchased the car in April of 2009. At that time Wayne Cernik told me that Bob Garrish would be my service rep. Bob has always been incredibly kind and helpful and attentive when I have brought the car in. This last visit I thought I might need new wiper blades but Bob had the service tech clean them and they are as good as new. Bob saved me more than $60. He also gave me a coupon that another customer had not used and saved me about $30! He also always explains to me what work needs to be done on the car. This time it was mostly about tire rotation and re-alignment. He is an outstanding service rep! Anne Bailliere More

I made a service appointment to resolve 'brake shutter' and a steering wheel whose leather covering was bubbling. I dropped off the car (Monday morning) and did not hear from the service department regarding the status of my car as of 4:00 pm. When I called, Amanda stated that the car was not yet finished, but did offer a loaner car. Great, I thought... The next day (Tuesday), there was still no contact from the service department. When I finally reached her at 3:00, Amanda stated that a new steering wheel had to be ordered and would require a return visit - no problem I thought. When I asked about the brakes, the advisor stated that the front rotors and brake pads would have to be replaced, but would not be covered under warranty at price of $650. I declined the $650 replacement. When speaking to Amanda on Monday, after checking my VIN, she stated that I had Volvo's Safe and Secure Plan. Why the change in policy on Tuesday I thought? When I picked up my car on Tuesday, I called another Volvo dealership in the area (Lehman Volvo of York PA) and explained what Bill Kidd's assessment was. This dealership stated that the brake pads and rotors were ABSOLUTELY covered under the Safe and Secure Plan. I will be getting this and all future work done at Lehman Volvo of York, PA. I cannot believe that Bill Kidd's had my car for two days, and would not cover the brakes under the Volvo warrany. My complaints: *they had my car for two days for a brake assessment; something that should have taken under one hour *they had my car for two days for assessment of the leather on the steering wheel, to only order a new one from Volvo *they did not honor the Volvo Safe and Secure Plan in regards to the brakes; something that is clearly covered according to Volvo *the 'vehicle checklist' listed my air filter as needing attention in the near future, even though I replaced it 2000 miles ago - meaning that they didn't even bother checking it Positives: Amanda was very friendly when I spoke with her More
We were traveling from Connecticut to South Carolina on a family vacation and our car died on I-95 at 10:30 in the morning. We called Volvo On-call and we were brought to your dealership for assistance at around 12:30. Thankfully, your service department was open until 4:00 on a Saturday. It turned out it was the voltage regulator and your service department had to go to another dealer to get the part. They fixed our car and we were back on the road at around 3:30 that same day. Bob has aleays been very easy to work with ... very pleasant as he very clearly and patiently communicates each service detail. Also, if he says he will do something, like call me ... he does. The second person whom I believe should receive special notice is Erin Sullivan, technician (#7493). When Erin works on my car, I know quality work will be completed and nothing will be overlooked. Dean was awesome and communicative. When I dropped the car off, it was later and Dean was gone, but the front desk people were not very organized. That's why I stopped going to Koons (where I bought the car) because of the terrible front desk people. More
