We were traveling from Connecticut to South Carolina on a family vacation and our car died on I-95 at 10:30 in the morning. We called Volvo On-call and we were brought to your dealership for assistance at around 12:30. Thankfully, your service department was open until 4:00 on a Saturday. It turned out it was the voltage regulator and your service department had to go to another dealer to get the part. They fixed our car and we were back on the road at around 3:30 that same day. Bob has aleays been very easy to work with ... very pleasant as he very clearly and patiently communicates each service detail. Also, if he says he will do something, like call me ... he does. The second person whom I believe should receive special notice is Erin Sullivan, technician (#7493). When Erin works on my car, I know quality work will be completed and nothing will be overlooked. Dean was awesome and communicative. When I dropped the car off, it was later and Dean was gone, but the front desk people were not very organized. Service group and especially Dean, are awesome. This visit was routine, however, they did not replace the seat controller on driver's side, which was identified during my last vist. incredibly helpful -- explained the problem and the solution very clearly. Originally thought it might be a very expensive repair, but they were able to fix it for much less (generally expect auto mech solution very clearly. This is the second time for the '240': visit overall was good to excellent, the time involved was excessive though. I dropped off the vehicle at 07:30 on 15 Feb. a Wednesday and it was not ready until 20 Fe good to excellent, the time involved was excessive though. I dropped off the vehicle at 07:30 on 15 Feb. a Wednesday and it was not ready until 20 Feb. a Monday, late. Realizing the '240' has some years on it (20), which makes parts possibly hard to find (although one would think "Volvo Parts" are "Volvo Parts"), and they were, the wrong parts were sent. Also realizing the vehicle took some to check and then a call to me had to be made, still four working days is a little long, don't you think. But, Bob was great, you should pay him more, he knows how to talk to people, and was there late to deliver the '240' to us. I do think your charge a little much for a oil change, but maybe it is because I have been doing it myself since we have owned the car, new in 1992. This was the '240's' 44th oil change. I work so far seem to of the "Volvo" excellence you would expect. We will be back, both the '240' and the 'V-70'. Yours, Bruce H. Roush, Jr. More
