I have been getting my last 3 Chevy Tahoe's serviced at Bill Kay. Most of this time I have worked with Mark Bowling. Mark is by far the most knowledgeable service person I have dealt with in my 50 some years. I never feel like I'm being taken advantage of because of my limited knowledge. I have had experience with multiple dealerships, i.e. Toyota, Audi, Infiniti, Acura, and other G.M. dealerships. For me the relationship/trust with Service personnel like Mark is important regardless of where I buy the vehicle. In my previous work experience I made multi million dollar purchase decisions not only on the quality of the product, but also on the quality of service provided by the company. Service is only as good as the people providing or leading it. More
I have been a customer of Bill Kay's for 20 years and the sales and service has always been outstanding. If there ever is an instance when I was not satisfied it was taken care of immediately and without the sales and service has always been outstanding. Why because: Mark is exceptional with his knowledge, and most importantly he takes the time to discuss what's needed and not needed for the servicing of your automobile. I've known Mark for 6 years now, and I can assure you that when I buy a new Corvette it will be directly from him and not a salesperson. Lou Leuzzi M: (630) 258-2639 More
Called and made an appt with Scott for Saturday morning. Got there around 1130 and after a 5 min wait, Rich came and processed my request for LOF and readjusting tire pressure. He said he would try and have it ready in an hour since there was a line of cars waiting when I drove up. Went to the waiting area that has been redone and now the chairs are comfortable and it is nicer to sit to wait. In about 45 mins Rich came to tell me that my car was ready and it had been washed. Less time then I thought it would take. I pass many oil change businesses on my way to Bill Kay, but it is worth it to know everything is done right and checked. Then the bonus is that my car is washed. Rich was friendly and listened to my questions. He tells me the best deal for what my car needs. Now my car is ready for winter. Easy process from beginning to end. More

I've worked with Mark countless times over the past 5 years and he's always gone above and beyond to help get my car serviced quickly and correctly. I work outside sales and almost always require a loan years and he's always gone above and beyond to help get my car serviced quickly and correctly. I work outside sales and almost always require a loaner vehicle, and Mark has helped me obtain one without hesitation every time. My previous car was a Ford Explorer SportTrac. I mention this because to date, I will never buy a Ford. Why? Because of their service. Fair Oaks Ford, to be exact. Their service department was a joke. Bill Kay's is the complete opposite. Clean, fast, efficient, and friendly. I only buy American cars, and if the next one is a Chevy, it WILL be from Bill Kay Chevrolet. This is predominately due to Mark and his staff. Thanks for the great work. More

Let’s try this again, back on 9/7/13 I had written a review of our experience w/ Bill Kay Chevy but it must have been a bit too derisive to be included on the website, I thought it was objective, but th review of our experience w/ Bill Kay Chevy but it must have been a bit too derisive to be included on the website, I thought it was objective, but this time I’ll try to tone it down. First the facts…on 8/30/13 my wife took our ten month old 2012 Suburban into Bill Kay Chevy for a simple oil change and tire rotation. The job was completed on 8/30 and she drove the vehicle home. The cost for the service was $62.71 which seemed fair. Bill Kay is the closest dealer to our home and the most convenient for us to use for servicing the Suburban. The 2012 is our fourth Suburban and each time we have purchased a new Suburban (1999, 2003, 2008 & 2012) I visited Bill Kay to try and make the purchase from their inventory (they are only 5min away from our home), but each time we could not come to terms. On average, for the four purchases, Bill Kay wanted ~$700 more than what we ended up purchasing the identical vehicle for from a completing dealership. About a week after the 8/30 service visit, early evening on Sat, 9/7/13 I noticed that our garage floor was just covered in oil. I checked the Suburban oil level and it was down over 2qts, this was particularly alarming as the vehicle is only 10months old and the oil change had just occurred week prior. Speaking from years of experience changing my own oil, I immediately knew that the leak was either from an incorrectly secured plug, or the service tech tightening the filter too much to the point of breaking the seal. I filled the Suburban with oil up to the proper level and drove it over to Bill Kay. Needless to say I was less that happy that the Bill Kay service department had botched a simple oil change, so my mood was not the best. Since it was late on Saturday night, I was aware that the service department would be closed, but I figured that I could drop of the vehicle and then take a courtesy vehicle home. My expectation of this outcome was instantly shattered by the Sales Manager that I spoke with; I believe his name was Chris Baumann. I requested that I be able to leave the Suburban so that it could be looked at when service opened on Monday and I requested a courtesy vehicle so that my wife would not be inconvenienced and without a vehicle for the weekend due to an error made by their service tech; I did not think this was an unusual or unreasonable request as our vehicle was only 10 months old, under warranty and recently serviced by Bill Kay. My expectation was further reinforced by an experience I just had a month prior. While on my morning commute to work in Oak Brook, several warning lights came on in my car (2010 vehicle still under warranty, but different manufacturer). I detoured over to the dealer in Westmont who took the car in to service and let me drive off to work in a courtesy car. The Bill Kay sales manager was fine with me leaving my vehicle, but he did not want to give me a courtesy car. He inquired if I had bought the Suburban from Bill Kay and I let him know that I had given Bill Kay the opportunity to sell me a new Suburban four times in the past 13 years, but each time we could not come to an agreement. At that point I was not sure that my failure to purchase from Bill Kay was the primary reason from his refusal to let me have a courtesy vehicle, or it was just their policy (would have been nice to clarify), but the sales manager made it clear we would have to be inconvenienced and without a car for the weekend. He did offer to get me a ride home. I did not think this was a reasonable response considering the circumstances and we agreed to disagree. On Monday, 9/9 my wife brought the vehicle in to Bill Kay and they discovered that the filter was the issue. They replaced it free of charge and gave her a coupon for a free future oil change, we’d have preferred a refund from the previous service so we never have to go back there again. More
