Easiest car buying experience I came to Bill Kay expecting to get treated how I did at every other dealership I walked into. WRONG! Every person there makes you feel welcome and ma I came to Bill Kay expecting to get treated how I did at every other dealership I walked into. WRONG! Every person there makes you feel welcome and makes sure you’re taken care of. I met Bill B., seeing as he was my salesman, very friendly and straight forward. They did not hesitate to pull the car into service when I asked, so I could take a closer look at the vehicle. Not pushy at all and answered all my questions. I can easily say it was the easiest car buying experience I’ve had as well as most informative. They reassured me through the process of checking my credit that they would be able to finance me, no problem. I was very set on going to my bank to finance through them but Bill made sure I got the best deal possible. I ended up financing there at the dealership and with a lower rate! The process was easy and not overwhelming at all! Definitely recommend and will revisit Bill Kay Chevy when I or someone is in need of new car. More
Not fully honest I went to buy a camaro December 29, 2017 and sat for at least 5 hours while Bill tried to sell cars to at least 3 families at the same time. I was getting upset and went to the sales manager (Dean) asking him what’s going on? I’m just sitting here and my salesman walked off leaving me sit again for 30 minutes. Well this happened over and over again. After promising me a test drive with the camaro (it was snowing that day) they came up with this excuse of the camaro being such an expensive car I would not be allowed to test drive it. I was trading in my beautiful Ram truck and felt very uneasy as I looked at the rear summer only tires on the camaro. After 5 hours of negotiating I walked back in the dealership and told Bill I can’t do this that car is not going to drive in snow with tires like that. I began to walk out when Dean said what’s wrong and I told him I can’t buy a car that I can’t depend on to get me to work in all weather conditions, I can’t afford to buy new tires for a brand new car and he says oh it will be fine just put some weight in the trunk. With that lie I bought the car. So the minute I left the dealership I hit the snow covered road and I knew I was in trouble but I gave them the benefit of doubt since no weight was in the car. I finished the drive home and the minute I pull into the garage I get a call that my wife’s mom is dying and won’t make it through the night. At this point my grieving wife asked if I would have Bill Kay take back the car because she was not aware of the purchase I made until I drove up and it was too overwhelming.. Well I had to speak to “ Dean” again who was just heartless. I was willing to give them something to reverse the deal. But Dean says you had plenty of chances to not take the car. Really? And when I decided not to you flat out lied to me so I would buy it. I said cmon my wife’s mom just died...I didn’t plan for that and I want to honor her request of me. Well needless to say Dean wouldn’t do it...it’s all about not being truthful to make a sale to him. I found out the night before my mother in law passed why they didn’t let me test drive the camaro. If they did I would have never bought it. I was nearly slammed into several times on the expressway as I drove home because this car will not move in snow along with fish tailing sideways on the least amount of snow.. I weighted it down like Dean said and it made no difference at all. There is more to how they cheated me, made me drive back to put air in tires, forget to put my drivers license in with paperwork, charged me for stripes they never installed and I didn’t find that out until weeks after my purchase when I reviewed the window sticker, (oh and “no we won’t give you a monetary credit for the stripes and installation charges)...but that’s it for now. Please don’t honor them wth a car purchase. If I had time I would stand at their entrance holding a sign to warn customers of the characters that work in this sales department. I felt my salesman Bill was ok other than making me wait so much, low balling my truck and refusing the test drive...it seemed like he was just a puppet in the hands of Dean B. Sherri my original first contact from internet sales was fantastic...I don’t know how she fits in being so sweet compared to the others. Dean? Well I am sure you get the picture about him. Where I stated I had to drive back in that snow to get my license and air in my tires (it was about 3 hours after selling me the death trap) neither one of them (Bill/Dean) remembered my first name. More

Easy no pressure experience Walked into Bill Kay Chevrolet on a friday morning after finding a vehicle on line i liked there. Was met at the door by a sales representative named Dave Shearer..he was amazing right from the start. I had brought my parents (76 and 81yrs) and Dave could not have been any nicer. After test driving a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee...it was inside to work out financing. My credit is not the best but the amazing finance team there was able to give me a few affordable options to buy this vehicle. Within 3 hours of walking in i was driving out in my new car!!. I highly recommend Bill Kay to anyone good credit or bad...they are great people to work with. More

Poor service after new 1 month old car broke down on highway As a first time Chevy owner, I am EXTREMELY disappointed with the service received at Bill Kay. My 1 month old Chevy Volt stalled and died while on th As a first time Chevy owner, I am EXTREMELY disappointed with the service received at Bill Kay. My 1 month old Chevy Volt stalled and died while on the highway near Lisle. GM's roadside service left me on the highway for 90 minutes with no heat in my car with 9 degree outside temperatures. The tow truck driver dropped the car off around 6pm at the nearest Chevy dealer - Bill Kay. Service said that they could not provide me with a loaner vehicle and that current loaners are reserved for those who previously made appointments. I suppose I will schedule my brand new car to breakdown in advance so that Bill Kay can prepare. They said that their service department would call me at 7:30am with an update and that I needed to call in the morning to request a loaner vehicle. 8:30am, the next day, I had not received a call, so I decided to follow up on the loaner car and status of my vehicle. No status update was available. I was told that no loaner vehicles are available and that I could call back in the afternoon to request a loaner again. I requested a rental car, but was told that I could call Enterprise and Enterprise must have a GM car or I would be responsible for the cost of the rental. I was also told to contact Gjovik Chevy in Sandwich, IL (45 miles away) where I originally purchased my car 1 month ago to get a loaner. After calling Gjovik, the amazing Gjovik staff immediately took ownership, called GM roadside to have my car towed again to their dealership, and provided trouble free service. As a new Chevy, I recommend staying away from Bill Kay. The message that I received from them is that they will help you only if you bought from them and if you didn't purchase from them, then prepare to get a runaround. More
