I purchased a 2004 VW Beetle at another local (non-VW)dealer for my daughters to drive this year. When I purchased the car it had 39K miles and not being familer with VW maintenence requirements (non-VW)dealer for my daughters to drive this year. When I purchased the car it had 39K miles and not being familer with VW maintenence requirements I took it back to the same local dealer that I purchaed it as I wanted to make sure that it had all the necessary maintenance. It was obvious that I needed to take it to a VW dealer and I am so glad that I did. Virko in the service department at Bill Jacobs is a true professional. He helped me get the necessary mainteance completed and make sure the car is safe for my daughters to drive. I have had the car in a couple of time and each time I have been completly satisfied with the work and the level of detail that they provide in terms of what they are doing to the car and why it needs to be done. After my most recent visit the car runs and handles better then we expected. If you own a VW this is the place to take it for excellent services. More
I went in for an oil change & car wash. I saw Ed & he told me about the 0% financing & asked if I would be intrested in looking at a new car. We had just purchased a Beetle 9 mos. ago,but Ed knew that I wasn't really thrilled with the automatic trans. He got me into another Beetle that has the stick shift & other features that I really wanted. I only made the switch because of the financing offer. I was glad that Ed told me about the offer. I am now much happier! The service is always very good also. The people are all very nice there. More
approaching one-year ownership point of 2012 Golf TDI purchased at Bill Jacobs. I have attempted a car was five times during this year. Each time save one was a very aggravating experience. The one purchased at Bill Jacobs. I have attempted a car was five times during this year. Each time save one was a very aggravating experience. The one time that was not aggravating was I was told the car was would take an hour because they were very busy. That wash took 1.25 hours, pretty close to as-expected. One time I left after my car sat in bay where I left it for 55 minutes. was told would be FINISHED in 40 minutes. Today left after my car sat unattended in bay for 30 minutes. No cars were ahead of me in wash queue. was told that car would be FINISHED in 20-30. Would be better if we were told the truth. Bottom line: your car wash service is counter-productive; yielding very frustrated, dissatisfied customers. You'd be ahead not to offer a service that creates animosity in customers with an otherwise positive attitude toward your dealership. Orval "Butch" Kuhn 2012 VW Golf TDI More

In the past two months, two service visits really demonstrated that this dealership stands behind its product and just as importantly, that their service rep, Denis Healy, does everything a customer could ask - and more. The first service issue was a rattle seemingly from under the center of the car. It was most pronounced at slower speeds. We first looked into it during the winter months and decided it may have been a temporary issue due to the cold temperatures of the Chicago area. When the rattling continued into the warmer months, Denis and his tech colleagues resumed their hunt for the cause, literally going through a checklist of "could be's" over several days, ultimately involving the tech gurus at VW Central until they hit upon the cause for what is a very rare problem. A new driver side shock absorber and mount were installed, and the problem was solved. The second issue arose about three weeks ago, when the check oil pressure light went on and I had to add three quarts of oil. Yes, three quarts. I immediately phoned Denis and he asked me to bring the car in promptly. The dealership did an oil consumption procedure, draining the old oil and asking me to return at a designated mileage so they could measure and determine if the consumption was "normal". In the event, the consumption was not normal, and they then performed a rings and piston replacement along with a few other changes and services. If VW and Bill Jacobs did not stand behind its product, this repair alone would easily have cost me more than $3,500. In fact, the cost to me for this repair as well as the one described above, was zero. And, in both instances, I had the use of a loaner car. At every stage of the repairs, Denis made sure to call me at least daily, sometimes twice, with a full explanation of where the repairs stood, what had been done, what remained, and anything else that could conceivably impact on the entire process. So, here's the proverbial bottom line. Any VW dealer can sell you a great car. But what really matters is what happens when you have a tough repair problem. In my view, it would be hard to top the performance of Bill Jacobs and their rep, Denis Healy. Take a bow! More
