John put me at ease immediately and within minutes understood where we needed to be price-wise and made it happen. (This was the first lease experience that I wasn't immediately irritated because salesmen didn't listen to me.) My husband is in sales and also appreciated our experience. It was easy for me to leave our daughter in the lobby knowing she was well taken care of with the Ipad and a cup of hot chocolate. She also greatly appreciated the T-shirt! All-in-all we went from a very stressful few weeks of indecision to a brand we have never owned or leased. It is a nice car that we will consider purchasing at the end of the lease. My sister saw it and wants the red one too. Thanks Ed for going to get it! :) More

We had also visited Fox Valley Volkswagen before visiting Bill Jacobs and did not have a very positive experience - the salesperson with whom we met was very disinterested and definitely gave us the feeling that we were wasting his time. The very average scores I've noted, however, are a result mainly of our dealings with our salesperson. Ed was certainly knowledgeable about the sportwagen and was willing to work with us on a fair price, albeit in a very "old school" way of writing down numbers, crossing them out, coming back with another price, etc. This was very different for our previous car purchase (Toyota) where everything was handled via computer and computer-generated quotes and trade-in analysis were provided to us. Our main point of contention was the manner in which Ed dealt with me, in particular. Although we were very specific that I would be the primary driver of the car, Ed continually directed comments and questions to my husband, despite my husband repeatedly referring the conversation back to me. In fact, at one point during the credit application process, when my husband briefly left the room, Ed told me it wasn't necessary for me to complete the paperwork, that my husband could just apply for credit. My husband and I thought this was strange; this is the fourth car we've purchased together, and we've never had another salesperson suggest this. While this wasn't a deal-breaker for this purchase, I wouldn't work with Ed again in the future and would recommend female car buyers to work with a different salesperson at Bill Jacobs. More

I'm new to having a VW TDI, having just bought one from another out-of-state private-party earlier in the year. I now needed parts for it for some routine maintenance work, and they had to be dealership-o another out-of-state private-party earlier in the year. I now needed parts for it for some routine maintenance work, and they had to be dealership-only parts (no after-market). Upon calling, I found Chuck to be extremely helpful, patient, and considerate. Much more so than most people in other dealerships I've dealt with over the years, and certainly exceeded my expectations. Thus, he got my business. And now, this dealership will be one I continue to deal with from now on in my future VW needs, even though there are other ones available close-by as well. Much respect to Chuck and the people who employ him at Bill Jacobs VW. Filled my needs first time. More

We had a great experience with Bill Jacobs especially considering we were working with Steve Sledz. We brought our 2 young children into the dealership with us which is not an ideal situation. However, Steve tried to keep the process rolling as fast as he could. He was very kind to our children and made them feel especially welcome. After a couple of hours had passed, my son was hungry and wanted something from the vending machine which cost a quarter more than what we had in cash (we never carry cash with us!). Anyway, without missing a beat, Steve pulled out not just 1 quarter but 3 quarters and let my son have them. My son was so excited! Just another way Steve went above and beyond to make our visit at the dealership as pleasant as possible. We would highly recommend the dealership to anyone looking for a VW. I might also add that the visit with our children was our 2nd visit to the dealership. Our 1st visit was without kids and on a Saturday. Something about this particular Saturday brought everyone in Naperville to the dealership. We just wanted to test drive the new Passat. But because of the amount of interested customers, we had to wait for quite some time. Everyone kept checking in on us to let us know they hadn't forgotten about us. Eventually, the manager decided pull a Passat right off the show floor for us to drive. They let us drive without any salesman, which I don't think is typical, however, because it was so busy they made necessary accommodations for us! 2 weeks later we were in with kids and drove away with our new Passat. Since that time, Steve has called twice to check in and make sure we're happy with our purchase and most importantly, never forgets to ask how our children are doing. So if you're interested in a VW, go see Steve! It's a great dealership! More

I went to Bill Jacobs VW to look at a VW Tiguan, and worked with a salesperson named Kelly Kuckelman. I explained that I only had about 90 minutes, but was interested in driving a Tiguan and having the worked with a salesperson named Kelly Kuckelman. Kelly was incredibly gracious and helpful. She found a vehicle that met my needs, we did a test drive, and she demonstrated great knowledge of the product and its unique features. While we were test driving, she made arrangements to have my car be driven and appraised. To my great benefit, your appraisal staff contacted the original selling dealership of my car and obtained details not only on the car I was trading, but also on the outstanding warranty and service agreements that remained on the vehicle. After the test drive, I decided that I wanted to go forward with the purchase of a Tiguan. Kelly and the sales manager who assisted us came up with an incredibly fair proposal to purchase my car from me, and sell me a great car at a very reasonable price. I am very, very pleased to say that the discussion required almost no negotiation--the proposal that the dealership offered was fair at the outset, and was explained to be clearly enough that I understood all of the pros and cons. There was no high pressure sales pitch. Rather, I was offered their best deal, and the information I needed to know in order to make an informed decision. I opted to go forward with the purchase. The dealership has been nothing but supportive and helpful, and I cannot say enough good things about Bill Jacobs VW and Kelly Kuckelman. More

I went into the dealership to work with sales manager Jon Stube and he was so nice to me and my family and treated us as a person instead of that pushy sales person tactics! Someone who I would actually have to my home for Christmas,after dealing with Jon he had one of his sales reps finish all the car buying process to Brian Wiater who again treated me and my as good as a person could be treated.The sales person took there time with my wife and showed her all vehicles and all options on the vehicles so we could find what seated our needs,make story short this was the best car purchase I have had out of so many car purchases I have lost count and would rate this dealership 10 stars out of only 5 More

We called ahead of time to make an appt. to see a salesman and he was waiting for us when we got there. We were looking for a couple of specific colors and he checked their website and was able to find what we wanted quickly. After we gave him the go-ahead, even though it came from another dealer in central Illinois, they had the car ready for us the next day. Our salesman went over the workings of the car exceptionally well and since our previous car was 12 years old there were a lot of new things to learn. We would definitely go back and would certainly recommend Bryan. More

Beyond the fact that Denis is probably one of the nicest guys you will ever meet, Denis is professional, and courteous. He is very knowledgeable, and always makes me feel comfortable when I leave my car in his hands. Most importantly, whenhe has my car diagnosed, and gives me straight answers. Simply stated, I trust him. Service is key in any industry. People share their experiences, and sometimes word of mouth advertising can make or break your business. From a service and a value perspective, I would rank Bill Jacobs at the top of my list, and would not hesitate to recommend them to others!
