As a person who managed professional sales forces for years, I am keenly aware of the attributes of sales professionals. Upon entering Bill Jacobs VW showroom, I was promptly and courteously greeted by years, I am keenly aware of the attributes of sales professionals. Upon entering Bill Jacobs VW showroom, I was promptly and courteously greeted by Kelly Kuckelman, who offered her assistance. She asked appropriate "needs identifying" questions and took cues from me as to what product would fit me. After settling on the appropriate vehicle, we test drove the car and returned for more discussion. I left feeling very good about the dealership, Kelly and the car! I returned later that day to pick up a car to take for an extended drive.... she had ensured that the car was clean and waiting for me. Negotiations over the trade-in were quick and professional. She responded promptly to my emails that day and generally made me feel valued throughout the process. Later the same day we agreed on price and arranged for pick-up that evening. When I returned at the appointed time, the vehicle was is the showroom waiting for me( it was cold outside and she had taken the time to move it indoors to facilitate the orientation process). Financial closing was smooth and unpressured. All in all a very pleasant and professional experience. If, like me, you value your time, and want to be assured of a professional, well-informed and pleasant sales experience, I would highly recommend Kelly and Bill Jacobs VW. More
I must say that from dealing first on the internet, to the final out the door experience ,was great. When I walked in the showroom I was greeted professionally from the sales person Kelly Kugelman. The internet price was on target and she worked with me on my expectations of what my trade in vehicle could be worth towards the price of the new Passat.There was no pressure from Kelly just honest answers to my questions. After receiving the Passat there was a problem with the transmission and I called Kelly for advice and she instructed me to bring it in that day or have it towed to the dealer. Upon inspection they immediately offered to swap the car out for another new car of exactly the same model and color. Could not be happier with Kelly as my advocate and sales advisor. So far very happy with Bill Jacobs Volkswagon and the people working for them. As a group they really try to put the customer first. More

I searched online for a VW Passat for 4 weeks. I contacted and visited a number of dealerships. Bill Jacobs stood out ahead of the rest for a number of reasons: 1. They were willing to negotiate the online price before I walked in the door. Most dealerships would not entertain my online inquiries, they said they only negotiate face to face. I can appreciate that policy, but you move yourself into contention when you show interest before I arrive. 2. When I decided to go with Bill Jacobs, the out the door price was exactly what I got. No hidden costs, no surprises. Most other dealers (autobarn of Evanston) wanted to bill me for everything under the sun. Bill Jacobs is an honest dealer. 3. With every previous car I have purchased (I always buy used), the dealer cares very little when I arrive to pick up the car. They leave the car outside with an empty gas tank. When I showed up at Bill Jacobs, the car was in the show room, spotless, and with a full tank of gas. That is how you close a deal, but showing respect until they walk out the door. I got a good deal on the car, so I expected the cold sholder and an empty gas tank. They proved me wrong. 4. My sales rep Max, was great from start to finish. He came in on his day off to close the deal and as the night drew on, he did not hint that he wanted to get things done so he could get home. Instead he stayed after the close and even helped by putting on our new plates and setting up our phones. Max cares about his work and has respect for the car buyer. 5. The owner, Mr. Stubie (not sure of the spelling), was present and supportive the entire time. You can tell he runs a tight ship of hard working and respectful employees. Overall, I was very impressed by Bill Jacobs. I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking for an honest company that stands by their word. VW should be proud of this group. More

I was in the market for a Volkswagen Jetta GLI and was really impressed by my salesman, Rob Butts. It was actually the first time I've ever bought a car from a salesperson who clearly knew more about the really impressed by my salesman, Rob Butts. It was actually the first time I've ever bought a car from a salesperson who clearly knew more about the car than I did. He knew the car inside and out, and even offered to take me for a drive in his personal car to demonstrate a couple options that weren't on the test driver. What impressed me most was that he seemed to be more of a VW enthusiast than a typical salesman. He was easy going and didn't employ any of the offensive, high pressure tactics that turn me off during car buying experiences. The dealership itself is very nice and they had a good selection. I really can't evaluate the service department yet since I just picked up the car, but the dealership worked pretty hard to put this deal together. I would definitely rate my experience as above average and would deal with them again. More
