My wife and I were shopping for an used VW Tiguan and since they offered a white 2012 Tiguan for a pretty good price we went to Bill Jacobs on 01/25/14. A sales representative (Greg Smith) took very well care of us, was very friendly and showed us two Tiguans (including test rides). We wanted to trade in our 2012 Jetta SEL (25K miles, in great shape, no accidents, scratches etc.). However, it appeared that Greg had no authority to talk about the pricing in detail or to negotiate with us and had to involve his manager Dave. From this point on we were basically stuck, we were asking for pricing on the two Tiguans we were looking at but for some reason they did not want to calculate the pricing for both vehicles (including the trade in). They appraised the Jetta and came finally across with a price for our car which was $3K below (!) of what CarMax had offered us! Plus they did not want to move one inch on the 2012 Tiguan compared to the Internet price telling us that there was no room for any improvement on the price. Well, we felt sold down the river to say it nicely facing a dealership which was apparently not interested at all to sell a car or to make a reasonable effort to talk about pricing. And I do understand that the dealership has to make its cut but that is not the point. So eventually we left without car and ended up going to The Autobarn Countryside IL on 01/21 and ended up buying a nice 2013 VW Tiguan there facing a dealership which was willing to work with its customers in order to find a good solution for both sides - what a pleasant experience! I was in the market for a new Jetta GLI and I knew exactly which trim I wanted. I did a bit of research before coming in to the dealership and contacted the sales department and spoke with Kevin to in exactly which trim I wanted. He mentioned that if I were to come to the dealership to purchase the car, I would have an appointment with one of the sales managers to avoid all of the back-and-forth that normally happens when buying a car. I arrived at the dealership, greeted by Rodney. I was introduced briefly to the sales manager, but ended up dealing with Rodney the entire time. I was miffed at first, only because I had to "play the game", so to speak, but Rodney was courteous throughout the whole transaction. He went through all of my options to see what would work best for me, and while he himself could not work out a deal (surprise), the sales manager was sure able to (surprise). Had it not been for Rodney's friendly attitude while keeping me engaged, however, I would have left without a car. Although this marks my third car purchase ever, it is the first time I walked out of a dealership without that immediate sinking feeling of buyer's remorse, and I credit that largely to Rodney. He kept it real, and because of him, I left with the car I wanted at the deal I wanted. More

Kelly Kuckelman was sensitive to her needs and responded to her questions in great detail. During the driving experience Kelly was patient in explaining all of the technical and standard details of the vehicle to my wife's questions. Right after the drive my wife immediately said this is the car for me. My wife and I own a sales organization and we are very sensitive to how a sales person handles a negotiation. We both agree that Kelly was one of the most professional sales persons we have dealt with while purchasing a car. That's a big thing, since my wife hates the purchasing of an automobile. Kelly handles the whole process in a very professional manner. Bill Jacobs Volkswagen has made our purchase of the car a good business decision. We have yet to have service on the car, but the followup on the internet by they service department was immediate and we look forward to see how the service is handled. More

We had an excellent experience picking out our new car at Bill Jacobs Volkswagen in Naperville. Max (Gordon Porter) was one of the best sales persons I have ever dealt with, he knew the ins and outs of each Bill Jacobs Volkswagen in Naperville. Max (Gordon Porter) was one of the best sales persons I have ever dealt with, he knew the ins and outs of each car we test drove (we tested 3 that night). Max came across as an down to earth, non pushy sales person who was extremely knowledgeable about the care but was also humble enough that if he didn't known the answer he would tell you that. He helps us zero on the exact car we needed, no something what would get him a higher commission. He looked out for us......I felt that that he worked for me not the car dealer. A great trait to have to put on at ease when making a large purchases like this. I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone looking to buy a car, ask for Max he's the best!!!!! C. In general, traveling almost 800 miles (12 hours) each way to purchase a used car is probably not the greatest idea. HOWEVER, the kind of service and personal attention I received from our sales professional Robert, and the Finance Director Kris made the trip worth it and has made me a customer for life. These guys spent the entire day with me, helped work through a few financing challenges, and made it their personal mission to make sure I didn't travel all that way for nothing. This was BY FAR the best car buying experience I have ever had, and it will certainly not be my last with Bill Jacobs VW. (I might fly next time however) More

Bill Jacobs VW was by far the best car buying experience of my life! We went in looking for a car for me, and because we were treated like gold ended up buying a car for my fiancee as well. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with the friendly smile of Cesar. There wasn't any pushing and pulling. He sat us down asked what our price range was, what was important to us,ie. leather sun roof navi package etc.. We test drove a car that had everything we were looking for. We drove over to the new car lot to see if they had the color and interior we were looking for in stock... They did. When we got back to the dealership it was very simple Cesar went talked with his manager Pete. Pete came over ( super friendly and funny) was very straight froward they got us the price we wanted. right before we went up to the finance department we were talking with Cesar about being hungry ( of course we went around lunch and had not eaten anything ) when we came down from signing the papers(with Jason the finance man. He is amazing. super friendly, straight forward, and has a wonderful sense of humor).... CESAR HAD TACOS WAITING FOR US... I mean are you serious?!? How amazing is that. We had been to over 6 different car dealerships before going to Bill Jacobs and I will tell you this I WILL NEVER BUY A CAR ANYWHERE ELSE!On top of the wonderful customer service we received inside the dealership I want to express how great VW is!
