On Monday,8/2/10, I called the service dept for an appointment for lube,oil and filter; safety recall of heated windshield fluid and concern over apparent excessive play in U joints. I arrived for my appointment for lube,oil and filter; safety recall of heated windshield fluid and concern over apparent excessive play in U joints. I arrived for my 5 PM appointment approximately 5 minutes early. I talked to Jeff whom I had made the appointment with earlier in the day. He explained because of the time that I should leave my Avalanche overnight as there was not enough time (2 hours) prior to closing at 7PM to check out the U joints. He stated that the shuttle service would take me home and to wait in the waiting area. At 5:20 PM, no one had said anything about the shuttle service. I talked to the receptionist who was just so so in friendliness and she stated that Jeff left at 5PM, the end of his day. Because of the practice of service writers being compensated by commission, I believe that Jeff was unwilling to pass my service requests to another writer. And that this was the actual reason requiring my vehicle to be left overnight, a very inconvient thing for me. At approximately 6 PM, Nick, the shuttle driver, came in to the waiting area and we left. I was home in approximately ten minutes. On the way home, I stated that I would need to be picked up at my house on Tuesday evening to return for pickup of my vehicle. Nick stated that he would do it since he knew where I lived (1 W 79st, Indy). I thought we had a stated time of 5:10PM for pickup. Tuesday,8/3/10, no one arrived by 5:20 PM. I called the service number and the receptionist got Nick on the line. He said he would leave immediately. I moved to the 79th street intersection to wait for the shuttle. At 5:40 PM, I called again and the receptionist stated that Nick was on his way. At 6PM, no one had arrived. A neighbor had seen me waiting on the corner for over 40 minutes and asked what was the problem. I stated that I had been waiting for a service shuttle. He offered a ride and I accepted. We were at the dealership within 1o minutes. The shuttle driver was never seen. The receptionist did not seem concerned or even offer an apology. I paid my bill and left with a very bitter taste for the Estes Dealership. More

I bought a 2010 Silverado 2500 from Bill Estes Chevrolet. The salesman Jason spent 3 days locating me the perfect truck. He was even willing to go to West Virginia if he had to but luckily he located one i The salesman Jason spent 3 days locating me the perfect truck. I'm writing concerning having maintenance issues with the used car I bought in March'10. I was not given the car history, and not sure what the certified inspection meant, because when I had the oil change d used car I bought in March'10. I was not given the car history, and not sure what the certified inspection meant, because when I had the oil change done, they service department showed me the air filters(engine & cabin) completely clogged, and they were going to put in regular oil where my car can only take synthetic or it ruins the engine/oil lines. The air filters on this car are expensive, and why I should were these not checked doing the certification inspection, plus brakes need to be replaced, a front end alignment and it is in the shop in bloomington were it broke down already. I have only had the car a short time and it needs so much done already. I did have the tires balanced when had an oil change, tires rotated as well, the balance only seemed to make it worse. The sales team was great, but I would have liked to of had the car history. Also, wonder if bill estes dealer had installed the tires, if so then I would not have had to pay additonal for the balance. I lilke the car but feel like the certified inspection didn't cover much, and now I'm paying the price. Oh, this is the second time the car has broken down, service department couldn't figure out why it broke down the first time and now it's in bloomington with same problem. I hope Bill Estes covers what they claim on the warranty and backup their cars so I dont have to pay for the repairs on a car I havent owned for less than 6 months. More
